I sent a letter to Sen. John F. Kerry
Judicial Watch ^ | 2-4-05 | Tom Fitton

I sent a letter to Sen. John F. Kerry asking him to keep his word to the American public and sign a federal form authorizing the release of all of his military records. On Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, during an appearance on the NBC News show "Meet the Press," moderator Tim Russert three times asked Sen. Kerry if he would sign an SF 180 allowing release of all of his military records. On the third attempt Sen. Kerry answered Mr. Russert plainly: "Yes, I will." [Click here to read a transcript of the "Meet the Press" show.] In a Feb. 2 letter hand delivered to Sen. Kerry's Capitol Hill office, I asked him to execute the SF 180 immediately and thereby put to rest the controversies surrounding his service as a U.S. Navy officer. [Click here to read the letter.] Judicial Watch requested Aug. 2, 2004, release of Sen. Kerry's military service records under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. Navy Personnel Command withheld 31 pages of documents because Sen. Kerry refused to sign an SF 180. The records pertained to: "Personnel service jackets and service records; and correspondence and records in both automated and non-automated form concerning classification, assignment, distribution, promotion, advancement, performance, recruiting, retention, reenlistment, separation, training, education, morale, personal affairs, benefits, entitlements, discipline and administration of naval personnel." Sen. Kerry has yet to come clean with the American people. We hope he will finally keep his promise to release his military records.

Fat chance. The idiot thinks he's got a chance in '08. There's something in that record he's hiding.

I see that this posting has been listed a few times. While I sympathize with you and would love to see Kerry sign form 180, you should know that he will never do so.

I've asked this before and will ask again. Why is it that the left gained access to Bush's war records and Cheneys before they had been released, but no one...not one person who has access to these documents can get to them? We're not talking just now, we're talking since he's been running for an elected position.

Another thing, if he was given a pardon by Jimmy Carter, why isn't that made public?

Keep up the heat, and I wish you luck, but I think you're whistling dixie with this guy. He'll never sign anything.

I would prefer to have Kerry running up against Hillery in the primary season...and possibly knock her down once or twice. Having Dean as the party boss...is simply helping Hillery to lose.

Maybe if not just one of us did this, but hundreds of thousands of us did this, he'd do it - or fade away.
We can freep him into submission or oblivion - I don't care which- I just want him out of public life!

Like Clinton's medical records, we'll never see Ketchup Boy's military records. Something politically fatal lies within, or they both would have been released years ago.

Another thing, if he was given a pardon by Jimmy Carter, why isn't that made public?

Depends on why he might have a dishonorable discharge. I've heard rumors from old friends in the Pentagon that John Boy lost his honorable discharge for involving himself with groups that had ties to the North Vietnamese. There's even a story that he met with the North's representatives (although not Vietnamese while on active duty). This could easily be construed to be treason. I'm betting there's some truth to it if he doesn't sign form 180.

The election this past year may have been the closest the US has ever come to placing a traitor in the White House.

I have all of Kerry's records. If he will send me a couple million bucks from the Ketchup Kween, I won't release them.

:-)

Wouldn't that be great, especially if Hillary were to ask Kerry to sign Form 180.

He'll sign the form right about the time Kennedy confesses to murder at Chappaquiddick.
