The voice goes silent.
Because of the attention being paid to me I find it is no longer possible to effectively be a reporter for Talon News. In consideration of the welfare of me and my family I have decided to return to private life.

David Brock wrote a length article about Jeff Gannon last week. Freepers tore it apart, given Brock's sullied history.
But evidently Gannon misquoted Sen. Reid in the same manner Rush Limbaugh did and aso Brock started investigating and found that it was unlikely Gannon had actual journalistic credentials.
The fact that we have had an evening news anchor for what, 20 years, who doesn't even have a high school diploma hasn't concerned the left. (I'm talking about Peter Jennings).
The legal system is an adversarial system. Opponents try to punch holes in one anothers arguments. In the process, truth emerges.
I hope the Legacy Media fact-checks the New Media, and I hope the New Media continues to fact-check the Legacy Media. In the process, truth will emerge.
I don't think he was helped much by the exposure that in addition to "Jeffgannon.com," he also owns websites like:
"Hotmilitarystud.com
Militaryescorts.com
Militaryescortsm4m.com"

There's some weird stuff in his past that he's hiding.

There were suggestions made that these were things that would give them Jeff's real name, which apparently was a big deal. How many other journalists use pen names anyway? Wolf Blitzer anyone?
Initially, the thinking was if they could find out what his real name was, which naturally would be something like "John Rove" or "Fred Bush" if "Jeff Gannon" wasn't a CIA collective fronting for Chimpy Bushco, they could bust the administration with it.
The focus quickly moved from catching the adminstration for planting a shill, to simply going after Jeff. They haven't pinned anything on the adminstration, they just took out a reporter for a small publication.
There are other non-MSM at those press briefings. I think LaRouche has some reporter in there. In fact some of the press corp are clearly partisan, but there is no objection to as long as they are the right kind of partisan.

The WHITE HOUSE domain name was taken over by a porno site. You have absolutely no way of knowing whether those are Jeff Gannon's actual web sites and are passing along rumors which I find despicable.
