Because of the attention being paid to me I find it is no longer possible to effectively be a reporter for Talon News. In consideration of the welfare of me and my family I have decided to return to private life.

before rush went on vacation on his normal radio show he commented on the soup line, harry reid , jeff gannon thing... essentially corroborating everything in the print media... which is basically accepted and linked on the thread..

there's nothing more to it than that..

I suspect when he comes back you'll hear more about it on his show now that JG has quit..

At your link to the Dingbat Kos site they are all in a dither trying to tie Gannon to the Plame business.

The idiots are going on about the memo Jeff Gannon had asked Joe Wilson about (and Wilson denied existed) and the DK denizens are wondering what memo Gannon could be referring to and if it even exists.

Because I am a kindhearted soul who only wants to help and on the off chance someone from over there is lurking over here, here is a link to an article about the memo:

I suggest they ponder why Wilson denied the memo existed. I suggest they ask themselves why they didn't even know the memo was revealed in the 9/11 Commission report.

I will further point out to any DK lurkers that the "leaking" of Plame's "name" was not "retaliation", it was by way of explanation of why her husband went to Niger. The Fitzgerald investigation most likely is looking into why the CIA and reporters misrepresented information. Plame and Wilson did not do good. They did wrong. Lying is wrong. And since the working theory you all have over there is the CIA was trying to expose lies about WMD, I further suggest you look for Wilson's statements prior to June 2003 where he stated that Saddam did indeed possess WMD.

I also recall a few incidents in FR's past where we wanted to shoot the messenger who brought us bad news, such as DITHF. I will wait to see how Gannon's story plays out and what else we find out. I have seen enough to think there could be some THERE there, but am keeping an open mind either way.

Actually, it is important to me if I rely on that commentator's analysis (and I didn't know AW was still alive, let alone writing) but all of a sudden he became a journalist and not an opinion commentator.

If you will go back and read this thread, you will see that originally there wasn't much comment, UNTIL this guy started with the innuendo about Gannon's private life. And coincidentally, someone on another thread posted even worse stuff (that thread has since been deleted). Then a THIRD guy showed up posting smears.

I am interested in why the personal smears were used, why it seems to be coordinated, and if there is a larger plan to target conservative journalists. It may be that they were sucessful with Jeff Gannon because he didn't have a large corporation behind him.

If you wish to think that these trolls are simply confused young people, go right ahead. I am not so trusting.
