Because of the attention being paid to me I find it is no longer possible to effectively be a reporter for Talon News. In consideration of the welfare of me and my family I have decided to return to private life.

I know they do. In fact, Larry Elder had Gannon on his show the other day. Larry took Jeff to task for pulling a Helen Thomas. Jeff admitted it. However, if Jeff had phrased his question in a non-partisan way, do you think he might still be employed by Talon?
Liberals are quite capable of making email death threats or harassing phone calls. There is a reason freepers don't show their personal email accounts here and why posts of personal information are yanked unless that information is widely available (such as an email address for a reporter that is posted on the newspaper's website).
I would, however, like to see more on this story before forming an opinion one way or the other.

I never said the general question was completely off base only that I don't think we should have "journalists" covering the white house who use air america radio or rush as their main sources for questions...
It was similar to everyone cheating off of someone with a way off base answer on a test, and then they all get busted for having the same plagiarized answer.
I really don't think this is why he quit.. you are making the point that if this is all there is to the story then why quit now? this guy also apparently was the leak of the yellow cake CIA exposed agent by the white house.
What is your point?
Last weekend on Fox News Watch, they added Charles Krauthammer and Bill Kristol to the list. Neil Gabler called them "partisan hacks" for giving President Bush advice on his State Of The Union address.

I did hear him mention on Larry Elder's show that he and his family were being threatened.
And I respect Larry Elder's integrity. We need to make sure we adhere to a higher standard - it is our best offensive AND defensive weapon against the libs. The truth does not require Helen Thomas as a midwife for delivery into world.
