WE see more shades of red than you
And are able to use both sides of the brain at the same time while you BOYS can only use 1 side
Quickness is not an intellectual edge.

Bea Campbell, the feminist writer and historian, also questioned the findings. "The distribution of intelligence is much the same for all genders and all races," she said. "Our experience and common sense tells us that the quest to prove one or another biological group is brainier than the other is really a vain exercise." How brainy and vain does one have to be to be a "feminist" writer and historian?

=== "There is controversy about sex difference but there seems to be a fair amount of agreement that men do tend to have better visual spatial skills. However, I am not sure we can say that makes them more intelligent."===
Of course men, on average, are more intelligent. But intelligence is somewhat a subjective term. If one deems it "the mental capacity required to survive", then I think the answer is a clear yes.
Visual/Spacial skills are extremely important if hunting down food in the crudest sense, or fighting in modern warfare in the most recent sense.
This is not to say men are "better" than women because it is not a matter of who is better. Men are better at some things, women are better at others.
The world would be a hell of a place if men were left to raise children. The kids would be sitting in smelly diapers for days while dad tried to figure out how to reach level 45 on a video game.

) ""some studies suggest men have better spatial skills, while women may be more emotionally aware and verbally fluent.""
Generally,
Some women have better spatial skills and some men are more emotionally aware and verbally fluent.
I don't want to hear about someone's wife who is a Mathematician. Some women are excellent in math, some men are excellent writers.
TYPICALLY.
""men have better spatial skills, while women ARE more emotionally aware and verbally fluent.""

Men (GENERALLY) tend to be linear thinkers, and task oriented and don't multi task well. Women tend to be more organic thinkers, multitask incredibly well.
This is just the way it is.

DON'T COMPARE RACE AND GENDER.
it's such a liberal thing to compare race and gender.
The Liberals are always interchanging race and gender. Like that discrimination of homosexuals is the same as discrimination of blacks.
I don't want a GAY man teaching my kid's kindergarten class.

I think there is a reason mens brains are fractionally faster than womens -- men were (historically) out hunting animals, and in that situation a fraction of a second can mean the difference between having food, or being food.
I doubt the fractionally faster response times mean anything in terms of overall intelligence.
