What will all the accountants and tax lawyers do for livings? ;^) There is still plenty of accounting to do and there is still tax compliance. Tax compliance is just a small aspect.

The tax attorneys will be forced to "produce" something. They will contribute to the economy!!! Their human capital will not be lost down a rat hole.

Personally, I think I'll take up ambulance chasing! Seriously....The economic growth that we will experience will be a boon for virtually all.
The insurance industry is next on my list...and in my sights. Once I'm done fighting with the IRS, Insurance companies that unfairly deny claims, engage in bad faith settlement negotiations, and frankly LIE to sell policies will rue the day that the IRS was abolished.
There is no end to the ingenuity of the human spirit. We'll be fine....don't cry for us. If the steel workers could regroup, retread and retrain, we can too.

A friend of mine and FairTax supporter is a CPA who earns more than half his income from doing tax work. He tells me that he isn't worried about replacing his tax revenue at all in the kind of booming economic environment that the FairTax will create.

What will all the accountants and tax lawyers do for livings? ;^)They'll have to find productive work of some kind. And whatever value they produce will contribute to the improvement in the economy.
