If you didn't see the episode last evening, it was the most ridiculous rant about the Patriot Act. Basically, the plot consisted of secretly imprisoned Americans that were then tortured in a Federal prison. Of course, this was blamed on the Patriot Act.
The episode gives no clue as to how and why these people were arrested. It was perhaps the dumbest episode of this lame show that I've ever see.
The libs are really getting desperate (and yes, NBC is very liberal).
And the more desperate they get, the more and more ridiculous and transparent their lunacy becomes.
This show is going from bad to worse. Have they changed writers or producers or something?
I recall reading after the election that the star of this show is such a big Kerry supporter that when Bush won, the actor got physically sick and they had to shut down production for a while.
The story also said his costars related how the star would go nuts over any right-leaning political signs or comments, to such an extent that they feared for his health. They supposedly don't talk to him except while in a scene. There's no love lost apparently.
Interesting that now he seems to be being phased out of the show in favor of Chris Noth.
It seems like Law and Order writers have been given their Marching orders from the left wing of the DNC lately. I stopped watching all of them about 2 years ago.
Just proves Pvt Pyle was the lead actors high point, BTW has he recovered from his traumatic lose.
I know the writer of this particular episode quite well. He is VERY liberal. I will be speaking with him later. If there's anything you want me to tell him, shoot. He asked me to tell him what I thought of the show (he knows my politics). I havent's seen it yet. I Tivo'd it to watch this afternoon.
Denny Crane: "There are two places to find the truth. First God and then Fox News."
That's what you get for watching TV. Turn the thing off and read a book instead.
I pretty much stopped watching L&O when I realized that according to the show, pretty much only white, rich people commit murder in NYC.
NBC is repeating this episode on Tuesday, Feb. 15 (tomorrow) at 8PM.

I thought that was obvious, because we all know that all minorities are as pure and innocent as angels and incapable of committing any crimes </sarcasm>
If the internees had in fact been terrorists they would likely have been transferred to Guantanamo. The people who were interned here as far as we saw were Americans who potentially knew someone who knew someone. They were being held as material witnesses, nothing else. Until the last minute of the show there was only one internee shown and that was a happless college student who was an American citizen and had been a Baptist from birth.
Im not against such steps in a time of war but I dont think we should be taking pride in this. These are Americans being held and if past experience is any guide, few of those interned under the Patriot Act are guilty of any crime.
I actually changed channels when I realized the direction it was going in.
Ack! I used to really like the show. But last night, they were getting downright preachy!
I watched the whole thing and could barely believe what I was seeing. The libs must really be desperate.

The liberal media is like a dying, rabid dog. Lashing out in any LIBERAL direction it can, no matter how ridiculous. The beat goes on. This is why I NEVER watch TV MSM, except for FOX. The liberal crap is just too much to stomach.
What could you barely believe? That prison guards would torture prisoners or that they would kill one of their own to protect their secret? I dont understand your paranoia about this episode. The guilty party here was not the American government for interning these prisoners, it was the sadistic guards who tortured them for their own amusement and then killed one of their own. It was a murder investigation. The 17 unlisted prisoners were taken from Federal custody so they could testify against the guards.
Gee some people must have such weak beliefs that they fear anything that even questions those beliefs.
