One thing she mentioned is that she learned about the protest that did not happen on the A31.org website which was an anarchist site for organizing illegal protests and other disruptive activities. That's why there were so many cops and press waiting at the Hummer dealership.
Her intention was to join a disruptive protest outside of the Hummer dealership, similar to other non-permitted protests outside Halliburton's offices. Intent to cause public inconvenience is disorderly conduct under NY Penal Law 240.20. The officer told her to move on. She didn't.
The city may have been wrong to arrest her, but she was there to cause trouble. Her charges have been dismissed, but now she wants to get her payday from this.
