This just infuriates me. We need to wrest control of elementary and secondary education out of the hands of the COMMUNISTS who run the teachers unions.

What better example do we need than this to take strong action regarding those who teach and influence in our public schools? This is treachery..Using children who have not developed abstract thought enough yet to put together their own opinion gleaned from study and experience is just despicable. This is symbolic of a terrorist who shoves women and children out onto the front line of war to protect himself. The children are the front and I think something like this coming from our public school system should immediately gain vast public attention. A free nation cannot tolerate this kind of treason against it. Has anyone here ever heard of such a thing? This ratchets the standard of expected behavior down more than a notch. This must be confronted. Thanks for letting us know.

Where is Rod Serling when one needs him - he needs to introduce this particular episode of the Twilight Zone.

I STRONGLY agree.
I realize it's a bit like shoveling against the tide in these end times . . .
However, I think teachers responsible for such treason should be forced out of their public service jobs and away from any influence over any young groups of individuals. What hideocy.

That teacher should be arrested for treason and jailed. If my child was one of the students who were coached to write this garbage, I would be hiring a lawyer. A lawsuit would be started against the school district with a demand that the teacher be fired on the spot. When are we going to take back our schools from these communists?

Just to let you know for every idiot teacher there are ten who support the troops. I teach in Maine, and my school sent cookies and pictures made by students to Iraq last fall. The troops loved them and we plan to send more this spring. This so called "teacher" ought to be dropped off in the middle of Ramadi to see how his friend Zarqawi would treat him.

Maybe just a coincidence but I think most public schools in NY are closed this week.

Fifth graders (my granddaughter's class) in our elementary school sent letters to a group of soldiers in Iraq that were very supportive - and got back wonderful replies, and some pictures. Of course, I live in a red state.
Schools need parent involvement and parent support. It is a problem when only one point of view is given/taught.

Most of the 21 letters Jacobs provided to The Post mentioned some support for the armed forces, if not the Iraq war, and thanked him for his service. But nine of the students made clear their distaste for the president or the war.
So look who thoses letters came from; These kids are taught from birth to hate American's.
