Psalm 5: 11-12

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.
For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

Heavenly Father,

To know You and to put our trust in You brings rejoicing and hope but to deny You is foolishness and leads to despair. Those who choose to cling to false gods are putting their faith in things that are temporal - that can be destroyed in an instant. You, O Gracious and Almighty God, are Eternal, however; and Your steadfastness is lasting. We bow before You and are grateful for Your goodness and mercy in that You have let us become Your sons and daughters through the blood of Your very begotten Son, Jesus, whose sacrifice to bring us into atonement with You is incomparable. We praise You, O Lord, even as we ask You to increase our faith and strengthen our dependence on You.

Father, in our President and First Lady's faces we see the light of joy that comes from having a relationship with You; we see the peace that passes understanding even as they are constantly attacked by others. We thank You for their faith and their witness. Continue to guide them and draw them ever closer to You. We thank You for their safety on their trip and we pray for continued success of the President's mission abroad. Defend them from the arrows that are tossed at them daily by those who are bitter and jealous and petty. Continue to protect them from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Lord, our pride in our troops grows each day as they carry out their difficult duties under harsh and hostile conditions. Surround them as with a shield and watch over their families. Touch those who have been injured with Your healing hands and comfort those who have lost loved ones for the cause of liberty.

We pray, also, for our allies and their troops. Those from Great Britain, Australia, Poland, and other countries have also made great sacrifices to bring freedom to people long-oppressed. Let their leaders remain steadfast and their troops remain courageous as the battle wages on.

Father, we pray for Terri Schiavo and her family. Let those who revere life be victorious in this fight or our country takes another step towards becoming a culture of death and convenience. Speak to the hearts of those in whose hands this case rests and place Your truth within them.

Lord, our nation has sinned against You in grievous ways. We have allowed the slaughter of the unborn; we have glorified the ways of the flesh; we have let power and greed and lust rule; we have put self above all others. Yet there is a remnant that turns their backs on these licentious ways. Hear our prayers, O Lord, and revive our nation! Restore in us a desire to please You and to follow Your commandments. Let Your Name be glorified throughout our land and hallowed by all. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Our Loving Father in Heaven,

We come before You this Day with Thanksgiving in our hearts for all the Mercies You have Bestowed upon us! You are Great and Glorious, Gracious and Kind, and we Love to Praise Your Name! You are Tenderhearted to the Frail, Compassionate to the Weak, and You Delight in Baring Your Strong Arm for the Hurting. Your children Exalt our Lord God in Heaven, and Bow at the Feet of Your Dear Son!

Thank You, Sovereign Master, for Your Hand of Strength that Remains upon our brother-President, and for Your Care of him during his European Travels. Work Righteousness through him as he Meets with World Leaders, bringing Glory, Honor, and Praise to Yourself, O Mighty King. Make every Meeting Productive, and Keep our brother Safe until he is Back in our America once again.

We Thank You, Loving Savior, for Your Grace upon our Military, and we Praise You for the Mercy You have Had upon our Nation. We Beg Special Blessings for Terri Schindler-Schiavo, and for Your Mercies to be Upon All who are Working to Save her. We Plead that You will Turn the hearts of her Enemies to Repentence, Causing them to Abandon their Planned Attack against her. Vindicate Terri and her Family before the Entire Universe, my King, and Deal in Righteousness with those who Seek her Death. Thank You, Compassionate Lord, for Sustaining her these many Years, and for Holding the Wicked Sons of Belial at Bay.

We Worship and Love You, Great King of all saints, Exalting the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

AMEN KAYAK AND AMEN ALL!
GRACE AND PEACE TO ALL BRETHREN!

O Lord,

The world is artful to entrap,

approaches in fascinating guise,

extends many a gilded bait,

presents many a charming face.

Let my faith scan every painted bauble,

and escape every bewitching snare

in a victory that overcomes all things.

In my duties give me firmness, energy, zeal,

devotion to thy cause,

courage in thy name,

love as a working grace,

and all commensurate with my trust.

Let faith stride forth in giant power,

and love respond with energy in every act.

I often mourn the absence of my beloved Lord

whose smile makes earth a paradise,

whose voice is sweetest music,

whose presence gives all graces strength.

But by unbelief I often keep him outside my door.

Let faith give entrance that he may abide

with me for ever.

Thy Word is full of promises,

flowers of sweet fragrance,

fruit of refreshing flavour

when culled by faith.

May I be made rich in its riches,

be strong in its power,

be happy in its joy,

abide in its sweetness,

feast on its preciousness,

draw vigour from its manna.

Lord, increase my faith.

A PURITANS PRAYER!

"Take up the cross, and follow me."
- Mark 10:21

You have not the making of your own cross, although unbelief is a master
carpenter at cross-making; neither are you permitted to choose your own
cross, although self-will would fain be lord and master; but your cross is
prepared and appointed for you by divine love, and you are cheerfully to
accept it; you are to take up the cross as your chosen badge and burden,
and not to stand cavilling at it. This night Jesus bids you submit your
shoulder to his easy yoke. Do not kick at it in petulance, or trample on
it in vain-glory, or fall under it in despair, or run away from it in
fear, but take it up like a true follower of Jesus.
Jesus was a cross-bearer; he leads the way in the path of sorrow.
Surely you could not desire a better guide! And if he carried a cross,
what nobler burden would you desire? The Via Crucis is the way of safety;
fear not to tread its thorny paths.

Beloved, the cross is not made of feathers, or lined with velvet, it is
heavy and galling to disobedient shoulders; but it is not an iron cross,
though your fears have painted it with iron colours, it is a wooden cross,
and a man can carry it, for the Man of sorrows tried the load. Take up
your cross, and by the power of the Spirit of God you will soon be so in
love with it, that like Moses, you would not exchange the reproach of
Christ for all the treasures of Egypt.
Remember that Jesus carried it, and it will smell sweetly; remember that
it will soon be followed by the crown, and the thought of the coming
weight of glory will greatly lighten the present heaviness of trouble.
The Lord help you to bow your spirit in submission to the divine will ere
you fall asleep this night, that waking with to-morrow's sun, you may go
forth to the day's cross with the holy and submissive spirit which becomes
a follower of the Crucified.

C.H.SPURGEON

SOLI DEO GLORIA!

Lord, I ask that You continue to give the president wisdom and shrewdness, as well as innocence and vision, so that he would know how to deal with those on the outside. For many come as friends, with gladhanding and smiles, but have subterfuge in their hearts.

Our academia is rife with pretenders, people who walk in their own pride, who wrap themselves in tenure and the freedom of speech ideal, but who really are liars and cowards. Whether it's a New Paltz deviant sex seminar or a UC paper likening 9/11 victims to Nazis, these people foment their abhorrent views on young people struggling to make the difficult transition from home to the world, and they do it on public money.

We pray for repentance unto life for every one of them, but we need our universities cleaned up, for the young people's sake. They are supposed to be working as an extension of parental authority, but instead they too often work to undermine societal norms and legitimate authority. In short, they continue the subversive work of our mass culture which is aimed at our teens.

Help us to deal with this situation, so that the hearts of children and parents could be restored toward one another. So that Your church could rise up in the unity of the Faith and proclaim Your Word with power.

Joining you in your prayer about academia and its subversive ways in this day and time. May the Holy Spirit work a mighty work in this area of our culture and bring about renewal and revival!

"May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be adored, glorified, loved and preserved throughout the world now and forever Amen."

Dear Jesus, we pray for the youth of our nation and the world. May they not be influenced by the material things in this life for power they promise is so fleeting. May their ultimate goal be to get to know You, and to love You above all else. For whence comes all goodness if not from You, dear Jesus. Many do know and abide by You, but for those who have no inkling, please open their hearts. To spend eternity with You should be our ultimate goal in life........Our prayers continue for our President and world leaders he will be meeting this coming day. May the talks be fruitful, may a just peace take place. In Jesus' name we pray
