No but most machine gun shoots feature them. Incredibly expensive, but for a few seconds you own the range.

Why would you want to ruin a good video with crappy music?

I guess you only want to watch rock videos!

While the video is impressive on its sheer raw power, i am kind of worried that instead of focusing on the dark side of this video, the only thing that seems to brought up is its positive. Yes, we can kick the crap out of anyone with a gatlin gun, however, who is to say that it cant bring our own destruction?

gattling gun is never used on an Apache

The Apache has a 30mm Chain gun (Machine Gun).

This would be very useful in Memphis to take care of the horrible drivers we have. If someone cuts in front of you without using their turn signals, simply touch off a quick burst at the offender and, presto, no more problem.

Well, I don't know. It's do on Summer and Winchester, I suppose, but the 240 bypass traffic offers longer ranges than ideal for the 20mm and 25mm Gatling upgrades. How about a LOSAT instead....

The 30mm gun used on the Apache is a single-barrel chain gun, rather than the multibarrel rotary Gatling. But as both are mechanically or power-operated weapons rather than being dependent on the gas generated by their firing, both weapons systems are similar, close cousins if not brothers.

Apache's *chin-mount* underbelly chain gun:

Gatling *mini-gun* in use:

20mm M61 *Vulcan* Gatling-type aircraft gun:

mini-gun mounted as helicopter dsoor gun:

Puff the Magic Dragon had nothing over on these choppers.

Puff the Magic Dragon [the AC47] was indeed formidable, with 3 7.62 miniguns firing out its portside gun ports. Bank the aircraft left and maintain an orbit around a pointr while those guns cranked out 300 shots each second, and those on the ground became believers in the value of air support.

But when Puff was replaced [or at least supplanted] by its next generation big brother Spooky, the AC119 based on the C-119 Flying Boxcar, not all that fondly known to Army paratroopers as the *Dollar Nineteen* or the *Vomit Comet*, progress reared its ugly head, indeed: Spooky carried four miniguns...and a pair of GAU-4 20mm M61 Vulcan cannons with high explosive projectiles, as well.

Either was something pretty awesome to witness at night. Add in occasional flare drops, and it was downright spectacular.

So amazing that a weapon debuted in the Civil War could have grown into such a monster. Especially as it was laid aside in favor of gas powered water cooled machine guns by the First World War.

They've still got a few bugs to work out though:

I guess you're a bit old and that's why you don't like good music. I won't hold it against you. I, too, love Elvis and Johnny Cash. I really do!

I drive the 240 northern loop everyday and one of those darlings would do just fine. It would sure cut a path and eliminate a lot of competition from trucks and those who woke up mad at the world and those that think they do indeed own the road. A great equalizer that would be.
