Geraldo Swoons Over Jacko - (he reports, then he decides...for you! - unfair/unbalanced)
A.I.M.ORG ^ | MARCH 3, 2005 | SHERRIE GOSSETT

Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera made a fool out of himself (again) by fawning shamelessly over Michael Jackson in an apparent bid to pay the pop star back for the 'exclusive interview' granted to Fox News and to secure a solid line of future story leads to Fox News. But not everyone was happy at Fox News about this. Bill O'Reilly invited Geraldo on his show and told him to his face that he had gone too far in portraying Jackson as an innocent victim.

The interview, which bore a distinct resemblance to a Jackson family infomercial, aired Saturday February 5 at 10 pm ET on the Fox News Channel's "At Large With Geraldo Rivera."

Geraldo also coddled Billery, at the height of the Lewinsky scandal and impeachment that followed.

Furthermore, Rivera wrote an ethically dubious "tell all" book a while back, where he "outed" all of the celebrities with whom he'd had "affairs" (sometimes one night stands). Seems to me that Geraldo Rivera is obnoxiously ego-centric, to point out only one of his increasingly annoying, less-than-admirable characteristics.

His new wife (is she #5) is nearly about 25 years younger than he is and older than the sons he had with wife #1. Recently, during the same O'Reilly interview mentioned by Sherrie Gossett in her A.I.M. column, Geraldo couldn't resist boasting that wife #5 (Erika), is now pregnant. Such a manly stud he is! That was the message which he couldn't wait to deliver to millions of viewers, although such "news" was stunningly inappropriate to the subject matter of O'Reilly's interview..........which was Michael Jackson's current self-made predicament.

I heard Geraldo yesterday on Hannity's show, and he came across as quite fair.

Someone ought to punch him in the nose.

Little harder this time, though.

I always thought Geraldo was gay. He can't keep a wife, maybe wives are his cover.

He probably wants to 'be' with whacko.

Geraldo is the cheerleader in support of Wacko-Jacko. I refuse to watch him make an idiot of himself over his unwavering support of a pedophile.

"He probably wants to 'be' with whacko."

What a horrible mental image of that I just got. Shudder.

An interesting paragraph from the article; asks some good questions:

"This was an infotainment figure genuflecting at the altar of celebrity. To see how misplaced Rivera's deference was, just ask yourself a simple question. If instead of Jackson, this was about an unknown middle-aged plumber suspected to have slept with little boys, would Rivera have fawned all over him? Would Rivera have portrayed him as a persecuted saint? Would Rivera be spending time with his friends, taking footage of his hobbies and smiling as though he was having a great time?"

What is so hard about reporting the news without becoming the story?

Rupert Murdoch (sp?) is a turd. The only reason FOX is conservative at all is that Rupert realized it would sell well. What he really likes to do is peddle smut. Thus, he hired Whorealdo.

If somebody with some actual character ever got a hold of that network or started up a new network they would dump the whole lot of them but for Brit Hume ... then hire Laura Ingrahm, Anne Coulter, Rush's legal advisor (name escapes me but Rush calls him the Great One.), and maybe Larry Elders. Then they would drop all pretence of effing 'Fair and Balanced' ... go all conservative all the time (like Rush) and I would keep all my TVs tuned to that station all day every day except when the Shield or Deadwood (I know ... I'm sick.) was on.

OH yeah, Mark Levin.

Harold is still down in the depths of Chicago looking for Al Capone's stash. He is phonier than Joe Biden's locks.

I believe that Geraldo has a law degree, so he apparently has some credentials to stand on in legal issues.

Michael Jackson is definately strange. However, the people accusing him have a history that makes their credibility questionable at best.

Michael Jackson's strangeness and money makes him an obvious target for cons, and the people who are accusing him sure seem to fit the bill.

I don't know if Jackson is a pervert or not, but these particular charges don't look like they're going to hold up.

Jackson is an egocentric pervert and Geraldo is an egocentric idiot. They deserve each other.
