Please consider taking a road trip to Fayetteville, NC.

It was great last year.

ROAD TRIP PING!!!!!

I'm leaning toward Fayatteville, NC.

The Augusta Co. Courthouse in Staunton is a lot closer but they will only be protesting for an hour and there will probably be a max. of 10 old hippies.

So it looks like Fayetteville for me.

To self: make some of those giant foam hands with purple fingers...find the spit shields and nose plugs from last ANSWER FReep...make "OSAMA IS YO MAMA" sign...a puppet would be nice - Kennedy on a stick...no, too heavy to hold up...batteries for the megaphone...

Flora McDonald said: make "OSAMA IS YO MAMA" sign...

LOL.

Flora, you had to leave early so you're not aware of the sign controversy. Fayetteville Police told us that we could not have signs (even foamboard) larger than a certain size. Don't remember what the size was, but it was pretty small. I think that even some of your signs were too large and had to stay in tax relief's SUV.

Flora, before you make that new sign, maybe clyde asbury or tax relief will be so kind as to clarify the sign requirements? They may be waiting for further info.

I don't have any idea about rules for puppets down there.

In anticipation of cANSWER chickening out on the humiliation of being outnumbered by DC Freepers on March 19th, I took that weekend off work - now I need to find out if there is an official Freeper hotel, or if I should book with the one we stayed at last year.

Please Freepmail* details, if there are any.

*Freepmail info, because we don't want the lefties to do what lefties often do - destroy property, vandalize (our) vehicles, threaten the property management, etc.

We followed the Fayetteville PD sign size rules last year (smaller than 2sq ft, IIRC).

The lefties, however, did not, and were not challenged (by Fayetteville, NC PD) on their disregard for the rules.

Hopefully this year, the Fayetteville PD will liberalize the sign size rules.

;-)

Thanks for the ping, Bill. You can bet your boots that whatever leftie scum show up that day in Frisco will be FReeped senseless (ok, they're already senseless, but you know what I mean) by our intrepid Freeper/Protest Warrior Combined Task Force.

We don't back down!

On a thread in January, MichiganCheese had asked about ANSWER activities in Michigan for the second anniversary protests.

I've also taken the liberty of pinging a couple other Michigan FReepers in hopes that one or more of you can find a FReeper to organize a counter-protest of at least one of the Michigan anti-war protests.

The leftists will have at least 7 Michigan locations (see #2 reply as well as the first post). There may be some overlap in the lists of events of ANSWER (first post) and UFPJ (#2 reply). Generally, ANSWER has had the bigger events, but that really varies from location to location.

Pinging some who posted on the ANSWER thread in January in case anyone wants to help organize a local event to counter the leftists or attend an already-organized event countering the left.

Additionally, or alternately, write letters to the editors of your local papers, starting about a week before the protest, pointing out that for over a year ANSWER's website included the statement that "the anti-war movement here and around the world must give its unconditional support to the Iraqi anti-colonial resistance." ANSWER's leaders are not anti-war. They just support the side fighting America. They support the people blowing up our troops in Iraq, intentionally killing innocent Iraqi civilians, and beheading American civilians.

Clever Pun .
Ramses Clarks crew is not so bad. Watch out for Critical Mass as those guys can be dangerous.
The leftist have a new tactic they send a woman to hit a male counter protester . This forces the male to back off.

A lot of leftists in a lot of states need a whole lot of FReeping.

Do you have lists for every state?

PS. The fighter plane photos in the pings are great! Thanks for all you do.

And for all everyone who plans on Freeping their local leftists, here's a helpful reference document... The PAJAMAHADEEN COOKBOOK: Chapter One - Making a MOAB in your own backyard!

Anyone else have another chapter ready for The PAJAMAHADEEN COOKBOOK yet? I was kind of hoping someone would write: Big, Ugly Puppetmaking made easy.

Wrong approach. Have a confederate with a video camera nearby. This confederate must be undercover and look like the enemy. No sports logos and dirty clothing ripped in a few strategic places if a guy two days unshaven.
Get it on film and under no circumstances strike back. Leftist live to get jailed conservatives do not. If your group is creative and you follow instructions you can even sue Code Pink or whatever organization the offender is a part of. Maybe Mark Levin could even be enlisted as council and you can get extra publicity for protest warriors.

Hmmm...I don't think you'll be all that close to either one.
My daughter was born in Wilmington and we used to canoe in the salt marsh next to the apartment. One day the shrimp were jumping in the canoe!

And then there was Uncle Henry's oyster roast on Masonboro Loop Rd.... a boy would stand at the end of each newspaper covered table and shuck the oysters. Wonder if the place is still there?

In the fall and winter most of the parties our friends had were oyster roasts. They would dig a shallow pit in the sand, put a grate over it and roast the oysters covered with wet burlap bags. I usually brought home made cornbread.

Gotta go...I'm getting hungry.
