The same thing happened to me with my third child. Started leaking at 6 months. Had to lay with my feet up and head down. Made it to within three weeks of due date. Baby was fine except for a hole in his heart that closed at before age 5. He's in his 40s now.
I will pray for your cousin's wife and baby, and feel that everything will be alright.

Your dear family are in my prayers. By the way, my water broke at three months and I was hospitalized. The doctor told me I was in a "state of abortion" and sought permission to do an abortion. !!!!!

Well, Nathan, my baby is now almost 29 and his wife just gave birth to my grandson this past Friday.

Amniotic fluid is constantly replacing itself. Just keep her in bed, give her lots and lots of protein (milkshakes and grilled cheese sandwiches are NEVER turned down) and let the sac heal itself. The water will be replaced. The protein will make for a stronger sac.
