I find it interesting that even Reuters title was more accurate than the EXTREMELY MISLEADING title of the MSN - here's what Reuters says:

Over-dramatized??? Unless the videotaped appeal was staged, that's unlikely. Now I'm wondering, was this whole kidnapping and videotaped appeal merely a sham? How would she have known her captors were not killers at the time of her "capture"? I think they need to thoroughly investigate her.

And, if this whole thing was staged, and the Italian government was paying a ransom, were they in on it (in other words, financing the terrorists), or was it solely Comrade Sgrena's idea?

I think the Italian government has handled this very well. They called for an investigation, and they let this Communist twit shoot her mouth off until everyone got sick and tired of hearing it.
