I was listening to the Tammy Bruce Show earlier today and learned some facts I had not heard about this Ashley Smith.
Evidently she had an opportunity to call the police and escape when she left where ever they were for Nichols to go move the truck he took from the Customs man he killed.
She was in her car alone either following him or vice versa, he had left his weapons at her apartment and she had her cell phone with her and could have called 911 right then but did not.
She had some idiotic convoluted reason she did not so so and ended up taking this guy back to her apartment with her after he ditched the truck.
Lot of unusual things here and this woman may have been gambling with her life and those in the apartment complex for her to have her "15" Minutes of fame.
Will be looking to hear more of this story and facts.
