Your post illustrates why we will have a problem getting any clear-thinking and plain-spoken leader in the White House after Bush.

I would vote for Condi Rice in a heartbeat, in fact, I cant think of more than two others I would prefer as President over her.

John, I was not referring to his ethnic group (American Southern Black) but the many that come here to our shores bringing their barbarism, tribal hatreds, and superstitions with them.

The examples I gave are of Arabic ethnicities and Polynesian head hunter tribes.

I dont know of any Bantu tribes that practice canibalism or female mutilation.

Yes and much of the city government is as well so what's the problem with these people?? "Soldier" my a**, my respect goes out to REAL soldiers, you can find them wearing uniforms in faraway places quietly doing what cowards like Nichols are afraid to do.

First, terrorism is a civilian crime. The enemy combatants held at Guantanamo are prisoners of war, not terrorists, and none will be executed unless they are convicted of war crimes. Second, if he was tried as an enemy soldier as you advocate, then a Federal agent could be considered a legitimate target for an enemy soldier. The death penalty is not conferred on enemy soldiers who target legitimate targets, ie. not civilians.

The fact is, he is not an enemy combatant. He is just an ordinary criminal who should be tried and executed like an ordinary criminal. Who cares what he thinks he is? He can have delusions of being a soldier all he wants. That doesn't make it so.

I posted when this whole nightmare was taking place that this guy would only need to plead racisim and he would get off.

This is Atlanta, everything that happens here is tied to racism.

Remember Baltimore Raven Ray Lewis's murder trial. Lewis is black, the victims were black, the witnesses were black, the police involved were black, the prosecutor is black and the Mayor of Atlanta is black. Lewis got off cause he claimed it was a racist charge.

Nothing new here. The AJC once wrote an article about the rain in the northern Atlanta suburbs during a draught was racist. I kid you not.

I'm waiting for Jesse Jackson to show up and demand this poor man's release.

We have to apply the liberal philosophy here. Nichols was just a victim of society who was influenced by hate speech. The only difference here is that the hate speech came from the likes of Kwese Mfume, Julian Bond, and Jesse Jackson constantly claiming "the system" is unfair to blacks. According to liberal logic, they are just as guilty as the man who pulled the trigger and should be indicted for hate crimes.

He shot the black deputy because the deputy tried to stop him. He hunted the judge and stenographer down and shot them in cold blood. I think race was a factor in his choice of victims.

You just know this is a lie. I don't use racial slurs, but if I were so inclined, I think I would restrain myself if some ethnic minority was holding a gun on me.
