It will buy time, allow Federal judges to get in on the case, and allow for the review of all the facts.

In the meantime, the tube will have to go back in, unless, of course, the Supreme Court is unconstitutional.

I see Steve on Fox right now with DeLay and Sensenbrenner. Patience, and faith

I just saw the tail-end of the press briefing. They will pass a law that Schiavo will have her case reviewed in federal court. Nothing Greer can do about it.

It will be law. The Senate adjourns at 5:00 (today or tomorrow?) and an extraordinary session will be convened after the adjournment to pass the legislation.

I cannot determine whether the feeding tube has been re-installed.

DeLay seems to think it will be certainly on Monday.

I posted this on another thread, might bear repeating here:

Both of Judge Greer's parents passed away in 1991, when he was a Pinellas County Commissioner involved in your typical swampland chicanery. Suddenly, in 1992, Greer decided to leave the commission and run for the bench, backed by an awful lot of donor money. I don't know how all this fits together, exactly, but it is an interesting framework.

Does anyone know if either -- or, hell, both -- of Greer's parents' deaths were euthanasia-related?

The more you delve into Greer, Schiavo, Felos and Pinellas County, the deeper the muck gets.

By the way, speaking of Felos, please enjoy his attorney wife's commentary on "bringing a lawsuit with love."

I believe these people are deeply crooked, and deeply nuts. Always a deadly, if entertaining, combination.

The case is still in Greer's court?

Hmm. Maybe the news is not as good as I'd hoped.

I bet Greer will to get a court order to try and block it.

Should read, unless the Supreme Court determines that the legislation is unconstitutional.

Prayers for Terri .......

But aside from her huge problems with the Florida judiciary, how is this not a super duper win-win for the Republicans? Help Terri and help yourself Republicans! The vast American middle cannot be played by the Donks on this one. The Donks are godless, gutless and silent on Terri Schiavo except for Mike Espy in the House.

Washington DC Republicans! Show some hustle! Do it!

All this while murders and rapists all across the US are enjoying a sanctioned hot meal on a nice Saturday afternoon.

Where is the justice?

Our supreme court unconstitutional....pfffft, perish the thought. (sarcasm dripping from my mouth and landing on my chest)

Further comments:

Fox News is showing a split screen, with one after another congressmen (5 by now) on the left side, and a 25-ish Terri Schiavo smiling on the right. What a great idea!

They seem to be talking about the access to a federal court more so than other aspects. Must have come to an agreement to modify the House bill to match the Senate. Don't know whether the Senate can or will modify its bill.
