I think they are accomplices to attempted (so far) murder. Her parents should be given custody since her "husband" obviously has a conflict of interest. If her parents decide after attempted therapy by dedicated doctors that she is truly in a vegetative state then they can make the decision.

The Dems are digging their own graves as a party.

Returning Elian to Castro may have cost them the election in 2000, and this may permanently relegate them to minority status, heading the way of the dinosaurs.

Most people won't forget this at election time.

Apparently the Dems believe that some judge should decide whose life is worth living, and if he decides he isn't, he'll just order for that person to be killed by starvation.

Note that Rep Weldon has said that he has looked at the facts of Terri's case and as a medical doctor he sees things that aren't right....

Except the Federal court will see this from anew, they will accept other evidence that will be introduced. I fully expect the Federal court will do the right thing and let Schiavo live.

What other evidence? Every single thing I've read on FR has been introduced into court proceedings. What's new?

Oh, the feeding tube will be re-inserted while the federal court is reviewing this.

But you better be mentally prepared when the federal judge refuses to overturn Greer, and the Supreme Court refuses to hear it.

Democrats also fight for the lives and comfort of terrorists. They only hate our troops, defenseless women, and babies.

Most people see politics as linear, left to right.

I view it as a circle, with the extremist kooks meeting around back at the 180 degree mark.

Because 19 Florida judges say so. Get it right.

Exactly, what did those 19 do? What did they base their judgment on? If they followed the wishes of Schiavo's husband, then they got it wrong.

"I hope we're not ... making this human tragedy a political issue," said Sen. John McCain

Mrs don-o tells me that the Swimmer said exactly the same thing.

If you're in favor of Congress intervening in every state court issue, you better get ready for your ox to get gored when it's an issue you oppose.

This is NOT every state court issue. This is one human life, one mother's child. She's starving to death and I'll gladly risk my own perceived civil rights in some vague future "might happen" case to let Congress intervene. It's the only hope she has.

This republican (Don Manzullo) from Illinois is making really good points (of course, he is a Republican after all!)...noting that even though in cases like the Scott Peterson trial after the courts have had their say and the decisions are made, he still has one more shot with the fed. court.

"By the way where were all these people who were concerned with a woman's last wishes and not intervening in a family when Elian Gonzalez was snatched and sent back to Cuba?"

I was thinking the same thing.

We must never, EVER allow those who are against saving Terri (Dimocrats) off the hook for this. We cannot let time erase the memory.

Every time anyone (Dims) who was against saving this woman speaks anywhere, they must always be brought to task as aiding and abetting torture and murder of US citizens.

Every time a supporter of anyone (Dims) who opposed saving this womans life speaks, at rallies, town halls, anywhere, we must always remind them they are supporting those who advocate torture and murder of US citizens.

Truthful. Eloquent. Powerful. Bravo, technomage!

The new face of the "Democratic" Party in this country:

Judge Greer and the MSM still claim she is in a PVS. No doctor is now claiming that to my knowledge. SHE IS NOT!

Some of our libetarian friends, who would like to pull a taliban on any public expression of religion, have suddenly remembered states rights as well.

Using that logic we'd still have slavery.
