I am tired of some of you Conservatives lambasting this decision by the GOP to save her life. If she is allowed to die, a precedent of euthensia and eventually eugenics will be set. Do we want to turn into the Nazis? We would not let a dog starve to death, why would we let a human being?

Who are you directing this to? Me? Evidently you haven't read my posts. I am far from lambasting the decision by the GOP to save her life. I only wish I was in a position to remove her from the prison she is currently in. I do NOT want Terri to die. I offered my mass and Communion this morning for her to LIVE. L-I-V-E! Of COURSE we do NOT want to turn into the Nazis. That's what is happening now. That's how Hitler operated.

No, we would not let a dog starve to death and we do not want this young woman to starve to death either. We are doing everything we can by writing, calling, sending emails etc. to save her life.

Did you post this to the wrong person? Better check to be sure because you sure posted it to THIS wrong person.

Insulin lowers blood sugar.

I saw Terry's brother on Rita Cosby and he said his parents are now allowed to see Terry again and he reports she is doing "fine"..well as fine as she can be doing for being starved to death.

You are correct, people should not listen to rumors.

Don't care if he has your respect. He has mine. As for bringing God into this with his moral responsibility...Jeb Bush IS a moral person. No doubt about that. OK...now this has turned into a tit for tat on Jeb Bush and that is not why I am on this thread. We are focused on Terri but our avenues of who what when wehre and how are not the same. Let's hope this works out the best for Terri. Have a good day.

I don't watch Fox at all, but I had stopped watching that channel long before Terri's latest tragedy. I once watched Hannity and Colmes but got to where I could not bear to hear Colmes. I hear Hannity on radio occasionally.

Actually, the law does not call for the reinsertion of Terri's feeding tube - it calls for a Federal judicial review of her case

Has anyone seen the text of the bill? Some stories today said the compromise was to make sure it only applied to Terri and no one else (how do you spell "Bill of Attainder"?). It would be nice to know how they kept from invalidating my durable power of attorney which is designed, like millions of others, to keep me from being force fed and diapered for years as poor Terri has been -- and apparently will be for years to come. How tragic for her.

Palm Beach is a nazi or is it a communist stronghold. There is really no difference, is it? Just some philosophical split ends?

There is supposed to be someone medically attending to Terri's needs per Greer's order, wasn't there? At least that's what I'm recalling. I can't find the link on terrisfight any more.

Well, I am a conservative politically and an evangelical Christian and I, like millions of others, have a written document known in California as a "durable power of attorney" (or a "living will" in other states) directing my attorney in fact to see that I am NOT kept alive by force feeding and diapers for years when my brain is gone like poor Terri. [Her brain is gone G-O-N-E. Where her brain used to be, there is only spinal fluid. She has only a brain stem left.]

You folks can't keep your liberal "I know better" hands off her poor brain-dead body. Please try and keep it off mine. That is not life; it is a parody of life. All this new bill accomplishes is to make my heirs fight through state court and now through federal court and exhaust my estate with attorneys fees in order to get me home to Jesus. Everyone who has interfered with Terri's homegoing ought to wear diapers to bed tonight -- just to get a taste of her last 15 years and however many more are imposed on her as a result of this unfortunate political opportunism.

RE. "bill of attainder", here is a clarifying post by "tort_feasor":

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1366776/posts?page=38#38

I'm a lawyer and my first thought was that it was a bill of attainder. However, I lookd up the history and a key element is missing. A bill of attainder seeks to punish a single person without trial. Here there is no punishment therefore it should pass constitutional muster. Some examples of bills for single persons. Chrysler Bail out, Bills making individuals citizens, Gold Medals for Schwartzkopf at end of Gulf War.

And here is a link to excerpts of the bill -- it does indeed only apply to Terri:

SP, the allegation is that Terri's blood sugar dropped dangerously low, not too high.

How bizarre. The Senate acting "quickly" on anything has to be a sign of the Apocalypse.

Maybe because it *is* too late. Congress can't act retroactively and can't direct legislation at an individual thus I believe this 'law' will be unenforceable in this instance. They sat on their asses until after the tube was removed. Damnedable, stupid Republicans.

What I find amazing is who has been blocking this :

Joseph Mengele's "killer" starting 5 :

Schumer
Feinstein
Levin
Wyden
Wexler

National Socialists who decry the right yet toss Terri into the ovens?

I guess that depends on whether you think sentencing a brain dead woman to more years of force feeding and diapering is 'punishment' enough. It sure is to me.

After all, Paul told us that we (as Christians) should not grieve over the loss of physical life "like the rest who have no hope." (1 Thess 4:13b) I have a durable power of attorney to try to prevent politicians from doing to me what they are doing to poor Terri.

"Everyone who has interfered with Terri's homegoing ought to wear diapers to bed tonight -- just to get a taste of her last 15 years and however many more are imposed on her as a result of this unfortunate political opportunism."

So you think she's aware enough to know she's wearing diapers and you still think her brain is GONE?
