"Polls??? Polls that the DUers have hit twenty times per person yesterday? "
The con works like this. All the main stream media outlets spin a story a particular way for 24 hours.
They then conduct a poll. The average "man in the street" is not immediatly skeptical of being manipulated. Their only exposure to the story is the newscast the previous night, which left out key details and spun the story in such a way that their was only one 'reasonable" point of view.
Then shock of shocks, a majority of people when polled support the position the network is trying to push.
Then they publish the poll as if they are reflecting the public will and they cue the liberal talking heads to speak about the Republicans going against the will of the people.

It doesn't even really matter what the majority of the Amurrican Pipple support. They have been brainwashed by the culture of death. We must re-educate them. And no, to the other poster, we will never accept the so-called "trial judge's" ruling. He is not fit to be on the bench. He is a Kevorkian in black robes. The only fit clothing for him is an orange jump suit. How long till he finds his next "show case?"

Remember how JFK went out of his way to say that he would not pay attention to the Pope.

Well, in this case I would. This girl has been done wrong from the very beginning.

Potassium??????

Legislating morality has not been a successful venture in US history.

To paraphrase Judge Robert Bork, all laws seek to legislate morality.

The judge didn't even have the guts to come out and rule immediately. But this how liberals work. Since he was a Clinton-appointed judge, it was obvious Terri's parents simply had the bad luck of the draw.

If this court rules to have it re-inserted, cant Schiavo appeal again and get it reversed and then a schindler appeal followed by a schiavo appeal. And just continuiting a cycle.

He has no legal standing here but that NEVER stopped him from making comments on the death sentence of a GUILTY man, with results. Wasn't it Timothy McVeigh and someone else that he spoke publically against who faced capital punishment when they were GUILTY beyond all reasonable doubt?

So why can't he comment on an INNOCENT woman guilty of being brain damaged and put to death for it?

WHY the shyness NOW?

If I don't hear him comment on Michael for what he is, I say he is a hypocrite.

I agree with how you feel about this. I too am sick at heart. But we are not called to curse those who are against Him, for vengance is up to God, not us. Many times in scripture we are commanded not to curse. So I don't think God will forgive you for saying it, unless you first realize that is not what He commands us to do. Instead, we are to pray for these people, that they see God and realize what they are doing so very wrong.

Regardless of the outcome, and if they continue in this vile act, those in Christ MUST remember that God is sovereign and He is in control and this will ultimately work to glorify Him although it may not be the way we want it to. But His ways are higher than ours, His thoughts higher than ours. That is our hope, that is our peace.

There is plenty of this kind of evidence. But I don't know if it can be introduced into the legal proceedings at this time. I am a legal layman, but I am wondering if it is possible for appeals courts to entertain new evidence? I think they are limited to reviewing the original case from a legal procedural viewpoint. I think there are issues there that a fair-minded appeals court could use as a basis for granting an appeal, but new evidence could only be introduced in a reopened trial, not on appeal. Lawyers listening in, help me out here!

"Why doesn't Jeb Bush issue an executive order and have the feeding tube restored already?!?!"

Because he has no legal authority to do so. He is as bound by the law as everyone else is, and there is no legal authority for him to bypass the judicial system and take this matter into his own hands.

If he did, he would probably lose his office.

Even from the POPE?

No .. the Pope is the head of the Catholic Church .. it doesn't address the civil part of the marriage and the Pope has no authority there

"Can Congress impeach Whitemoore for failure to provide the new trial?"

He is certainly ignoring the intent of Congress. It shows that judges are CONFIDENT they can still ARROGANTLY rule as they please.

They are "above the law". Yes, they could be subject to impeachment, but the legislative branch has too often and too long deferred to the courts -- for one thing, it lets them avoid taking a stand on controversial issues, and they can blame it on the courts.

The Republicans have started to show some backbone, and let us hope and pray this is the beginning of their efforts to reign in an arrogant and out-of-control judiciary, according to their powers in the Constitution.

My boyfriend is a liberal and thinks the same way but when I hit him with "You would starve and dehydrate a person to death" he hit me with "it will be painless". I said "how do you know it will be painless?" of course he said "the doctors said it will be". I asked "which doctor sat there, starved and dehydrated himself to see it it was painless?" He shut up right away and could not answer me.

"Robert Wood Johnson's Foundation IN NEW JERSEY is a large granter to The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast (Terri's hospice) that had Felos as a Board of Director. "

You're kidding me!!!

I'm swear I really going to throw up soon. This is making me physically sick.

no, some of us will never, ever accept this. we will undoubtedly be unable to do anything about it in this particular case, but we will fight this forever and at every possible opportunity.

it is just plain wrong.

Does that mean when they affirm the trial judge, Freepers will come to grips with this story?

Not this Freeper. Coming at the story from the angle of being a mother, I can not begin to imagine the nightmare of being legally barred from protecting the life of my child.

MRS is nominally Lutheran, but he acts like a Scientologist, doesn't he? MRS doesn't give a squat about the Pope or about any church. His actions prove that.
