That was their mistake, coming here legally. You leave a paper trail. I've not heard about this story though.
Bush is not stupid enough to name them specifically, if he did that there would be a major backlash from the public. Why, because the majority of the public are for stopping illegals from entering the country. That is why they call monitoring the border "hunting" and illegals "migrant people". Migrant people are senior citizens that live in the north during the summer and in the south during the winter.
Yes it was a hit piece, directed towards those that attempt the stem the tide of illegals.
Our borders should have been sealed on 9/12.

Remind me to tell you the story of when an American acquaintance of mine went to a free clinic in the WestLake District of LA, but was turn away because "You're a citizen, you can pay".
I am sincerely dissapointed in Mr Bush on this one, unless he knows something I don't (Which is entirely possible).
The irritating part is calling them vigilantes. They are merely helping our government uphold the laws on the books. They are not lynching or meeting out justice in any way.
Has Bush never heard of the phrase "citizens arrest?"

It's true. Dubya makes absolutely no demands that Mexico clean-up its own act to provide economic opportunities for its own citizenry. Instead, his trade, economic and immigration policies are all designed to import banana republic style plutocracy to our own nation.
Homeland security "concerns" are a joke.

I agree with you. I really do think the President is wrong on this and putting the interests of big business ahead of this country.

Our Capitol Hill team has learned that Senator Larry Craig (R-ID), the sponsor of the AgJOBS amnesty, is going to attempt to attach the massive illegal alien amnesty to the Iraq supplemental spending bill when the Senate returns from recess in early April.
This, of course, is an outrageous effort to attach an amnesty for illegal aliens to counterterorrism legislation. However, it is a significant threat because if Sen. Craig is successful in attaching the amnesty to the Iraq supplemental spending bill, it will very likely pass since most Senators will have a hard time voting against the Iraq supplemental spending bill.
Send this fax to your Senator asking them to oppose any effort to attach the AgJOBS amnesty to the Iraq supplemental spending bill.
BACKGROUND:
The AgJOBS agricultural guestworker-amnesty bill, S. 359, was introduced on February 10, 2005. This bill will reward thousands of illegal aliens with amnesty. Of the 1.2 million illegal aliens currently working in agriculture, an estimated 860,000, plus their spouses and children could have qualified for this amnesty, so the total could have reached three million or more.
A January 23rd Copley News Service article detailing the decreased need for agricultural workers in the raisin industry shows that S. 359, the AgJOBS amnesty bill introduced once again in the 109th congress by Senator Larry Craig (R-ID) is attempting to solve a problem that simply doesn't exist.
The article reports that, due to increased mechanization in the raisin industry, fewer workers are needed to harvest raisins. Where 50 workers were once needed, now only five are needed. The article goes on to report that, "[California] State officials believe two or three migrants are currently competing for each of California's 400,000 to 500,000 seasonal farm jobs. If machines pick the raisins, agricultural experts say, labor demand will drop to a tenth of the 40,000 to 50,000 workers typically hired today." A similar situation has occurred in Florida where orange growers are increasingly relying on mechanization to help harvest oranges. The article provides further evidence that America does NOT have an agricultural worker shortage. Legal farmworkers can't find enough work to do and mechanization is eliminating a lot of jobs.

Well, here is a theory, but I don't like it: He knows something we don't. And I mean something big. Put on your tinfoil and start speculating. Think of it as a brainstorming session. That is, in the first pass, no idea is too whacky.
Possibilities:
1. Some economists are correct and our economy is about to implode, so we need the cheap labor to stave off the invevitable.
2. Blackmail is involved.
3. ______________________________
When someone acts this far out of character, there is something going on behind the scenes.
I'd just like to see a Congress and a Senate with some spine enact tough laws to deal with this problem with or without Buah's support instead of playing politics all the time.
Bush, thank goodness, will NOT be running in '08. If you want border security, vote for your state represenatives who are known to stand for securing our nation, borders first.
Let's say down the road from where you live there is a neighborhood watch program, and just last week they announced they would be patroling the neighborhood in greater numbers because crime has gotten way out of hand and the Police just don't seem to be doing anything.
If you call the 911 line you might get a response in a few hours.Now lets also say that the (supposed) leader of this said gang invited you over to see what could be done to stop or slow down the violence.
And you were asked by someone who is present at this Parlay, "So what do you think of the Hunters in the neighborhood looking for gang members"? Are you going to tell me that you would not assume he was talking about the neighborhood watch? Give me a break, Bush knew what the question meant.

I suspect its the chilling demographic crisis America is going to face, as the baby boomers retire.
From reading what Bush has said, he clearly wants to increase legal immigration, and get better control of the border. But it seems they can't get the increased legal immigration through congress right now.
It puts him in a tough position in fairness I believe.
