Plus the same morons who say the government should stay out of it would scream bloody murder if any of their favorite programs or handouts were cut.

It's hard not to feel angry and outraged over all this. I have had many not-too-Christian thoughts about the people who are perpetrating this outrage. I will go out to Holy Thursday mass soon but I will be thinking why is the Lord allowing this to happen.

"Hello, Jeb? Where are you? Get off your preppy butt and be a man, Jeb!"

If Jeb Bush fails to act on this it will probably be the end of his political career.

Terri Schiavo is being killed because she is inconvenient to her husband and because she is inconvenient to those who do not want the idea of the sanctity of life to be strengthened and become an impediment to abortion. Nor do they want the supremacy of judges to be challenged, when judges are the liberals' last refuge.

Bingo on both counts.
PRO-ABORTION = KILL TERRI
Lots of FREEPERS falling for the last count too.

No, I wouldnt necessarily say that child had guts..his parents drove him to the hospice. Who's to say he actually made the decision on his own. Adults use children as pawns all of the time. If he actually stood up for what he believes I give him all of the credit in the world, but I have a feeling the family felt passionate and got wrapped up in the media hype. I wish the best for Terri and her family (not her husband) and those who honestly have her best interest at heart.

Thomas Sowell is not a religious conservative, and he is not a Republican partisan.

Interestingly, that describes me as well, and I happen to be a big fan of Sowell, and an ardent defender of Terri's right to live.

I think he is awesome. While he may not be a typical religious conservative, I would guess he is a Christian, and I know he is conservative with a libertarian bent. He is a student of history and knows that power can corrupt even the best of intentions. But he is definitely not a straight Libertarian either.

Nevertheless, you are 100% correct to define him as a great intellectual.

Risk arrest? How about risk death? You have to kill me before you can kill my daughter.

You're wrong. They can easily handle you without killing you.

Unless you came in shooting.

Sowell bump!!!

I have yet to see one conservative pundit I admire side with Greer and the sicko husband on this issue.

That's what I don't understand. If it were my daughter, they would have to arrest me before I would let her lay there and die of dehydration. Why doesn't her family (and I'm sure many of the supporters out in front of the hospice would gladly assist) just go in and remove her by force and take her to a hospital. If they are arrested, there would be such an outcry from people that something would have to be done. Seems like her family just wants everyone else to stick their necks out and do something.

It's about time Congress took back some of its powers that have been usurped by the judiciary.

That would put too many lawyers out of business, including the ACLU. As well, the entire ruling rung on the ladder of the Democrat Party is all lawyers. This stuff is all too good for billable hours. It's either this or we'll have to suffer attorney's offering to wash our windshields at stoplights.

Obviously they are counseled away from this, perhaps to not taint the remaining legal processes. Perhaps Jeb will let them know when it's time to do this via a back channel should all appeals fail and in some way assist.

You are wasting time criticizing the Bush family on this.

The evil ones are Judge Greer, the whole judicial system, the Fla legislator that cannot protect its citizens from hearsay evidence being used to kill.

Now explain exactly why you want to make the culprits the Bush family?

Yeah, me too.

Time to give Jeb a hint in pictures on what to do:

We are being told that Terri Schiavo is being "allowed" to "die a natural death." Such an argument might make some sense if this were a terminally ill person. But Terri Schiavo is not dying from anything other than a lack of food and water, from which any of the rest of us would die.
She is not dying a natural death. She is being killed.

Ping!
