"God, please bless this nation."

That will be my main prayer tonight, as we certainly need the grace of God after this travesty of justice, and moral depredation.

From a Reuters report that I atempted to post. A slightly different view:

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (Reuters) - Terri Schiavo's parents suffered more court defeats on Saturday, leaving them with dwindling hopes as their brain-damaged daughter passed her eighth day without food and edged toward death.

Bob and Mary Schindler, both practicing Catholics, urged dozens of supporters gathered outside the Florida hospice where Schiavo is being cared for to go home for Easter.

"The family would request that everyone go home, be with your children, hold them close and share every moment you have with them," said Brother Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who is a spiritual adviser to the Schindlers.

It was not clear if the Schindlers had finally abandoned all legal avenues in their fight to restart their 41-year-old daughter's feeding, a cause that embroiled the Florida legislature, the U.S. Congress and President Bush.

* * * After visiting his daughter, Bob Schindler, who a day earlier had said she was "down to her last hours," told reporters Terri was "putting up a tremendous battle to live."

* * *

The Schindlers have drawn passionate support from conservative Christians, right-to-life and anti-abortion activists in their struggle to prolong their daughter's life. Lobbying from the Christian right prompted the U.S. Congress to pass a special law to push the case into federal courts.

This report and many more are posted Here

Why not boycott and protest any resturant or food store that sells food to the Judge.

I would say anyone who is being intentionally starved and dehydrated is in immenent danger of dying. A little over one week ago she wasn't terminal, today she is.

Greer has to kill her to save face - he's past the point of no return and can't back down now so he has to make an excuse to throw out any new evidence, no matter how lame the excuse. It's at least about power, ego, and saving face, if not something even worse. This whole case wreaks of something - too much pathological obsession with killing this innocent woman. Why?

GWB needs to order a full investigation by the Justice Dept.

I agree. This cannot die with Terri. I would think this bunch of murderous thugs has got to be somewhat worried.

It seems to be over now. God Bless you Terri. May you go home quickly. God Bless Mary and Bob. Your hearts must be horribly broken. You fought hard.

Then let's all see pictures of how beautiful it is to be starved and dehydrated to death.

I am not convinced, to say the least.

Judge Greer, George Felos, Michael Schiavo... may the fleas of a thousand bubonic carrying rats, infest your pubic regions.

LOL. A righteous and appropriate wish. I'm right there with you.

The reporterette is probably miffed that the Schindler family will give no further interviews.

She needs the crowd, otherwise what would be the point of having her there with a camera crew? It is the Geraldo Show, afterall.

Yes and he will want to burn any evidence that she was abused or that there was an attemp on her life.

Looks like at this point, even if she got up and tried to walk out of the hospice under her own power Greer would still have her put to death.

There's that rationality and levelheadedness that have characterized the zillions of Schiavo threads!

"Frankly when I saw her ... she looked beautiful. In all the years I've seen Mrs. Schiavo, I've never seen such a look of peace and beauty upon her. Mrs. Schiavo's death is not imminent by any means," he [Felos] said."

Reminds me of those serial murder movies where the serial murderer thinks that what he has done to a person is the most beautiful thing ever. How beautiful he has made them by whatever murder fetish he has.

Ghoul is the right word for such a person!

He may want to starve her to death BUT HE CANNOT deny her the eucharist every seven days WHILE SHE LIVES.

Since when? The Imperial Ruler decides who gets the eucharist. As far as I can tell, she hasn't had it in 15 years. Article Here

If they file a wrongful death suit immediately, then the body has to be held for evidence as long as the suit and its appeals are active. But since it's a civil suit, MS would still have the body. And he can cremate it anyway, certain that the punishment for destroying evidence will be something he can deal with.

It would require criminal charges for the state medical examiner to take possession of the body.

Matthew 25:31-46
This bit of scripture has been running thru my mind since last Friday when they began to kill Terri. I know in my heart there will be justice for her EVENTUALLY, but I just wish we could see some of that justice ourselves, now.

The Schindlers are far, far better people than most of those with whom they have had to encounter during this long, agonizing ordeal. Michael will reap what he has sown. It is sad that Terri will die before this is realized. At times, it is very difficult to be a nation of laws, especially when such laws are so egregiously violated. God speed now, dear Theresa.
