From the rest of the article:
"The couple met in 1978 when Howard Sosin was an assistant professor at Columbia University. At the time, she was married to another man and working in retail."
Like I always say: If they'll cheat WITH you, they'll cheat ON you.

But she has to vacate the couple's two mansions in Connecticut and three desert properties in Arizona. You win some, you lose some...

Don't feel bad for this guy, he met her while she was still married to ANOTHER MAN. Then he shacks up with her and now she leaves with alot of his money. What was he thinking would happen?

It says they met, not that they began a romance then.
Your advice is sound, but it doesn't necessarily apply in this case.

Just think, if he konked her in the head hard enough where she was unable to respond to anyone, he could also claim that she said she never ever wanted to live that way......and you know the rest of the story.

I meet all sorts of women while they are with other men (married or dating). Every man does. If I later start a relationship with one of them, after she has parted ways with her prior lover, how does that make me a bad guy?
All we know is he MET her when she was married to someone else, not that he began an affair with her then.

There is alot wrong in this country today.
Women hold no more power over men than they ever have.

Character counts. You can try to rationalize your way to happiness, but the odds are against you.

Yes I now know that from experience...except in the beginning I didn't know she was cheating on somebody.
The good thing is that after knowing that I could never get myself to commit to marrying her.....Thank god!

I think the courts favor whoever is ruthless. I've seen cases where the husband commits adultery after 30 years of marriage and the wife is left high and dry.

It doesn't mean your a bad guy, just someone would not mind parting ways with lots of money for a women. If a women is married with a man before and then leaves that and ends up with you, whose to say she won't do it again?
