Salem, Ore. - A picture of a Marine holding an assault rifle has sparked a wave of controversy at a Salem high school.

And their mascot is a Royal Kilted Yaksman holding a sword?

This country is getting more and more stupid by the day.

Is there any wonder that it's sliding down the tubes?

Just damn.

If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...

What if her brother was a police officer? Would it be okay for him to have a gun then?!

"Is still amazing to think that this country won World War II. Now we get scared at the picture of a gun."

Isn't that the truth. These...wimps are an embarassment to anyone who lives in the real world. One must develop a thick skin or forever hide in the shadows.

God forbid real life should ever intrude into the fantasy world liberals live in. If they really had to fend for themselves, or defend themselves against a true, deadly threat, they couldn't do more than stand still and shake. The sad part is, they don't realize that the reason they can maintain the fantasy is that they live in the greatest country in the world.

I have a call in to the principal but she wasn't in. I will try to call her in the morning. I am interested to know if any of her history textbooks have pictures of soldiers with weapons. They certainly have a picture of the mushroom cloud over Hiroshima. Perhaps they shouldn't allow that text book.

Great ping, thanks!

Jeez, they get bent about an armed Marine---is there anything the PC crowd doesn't get bent about?

Not even close. The best Chinese take-out is a closely guarded secret. Others may claim to know the secret, but only a select few are truly in the known.

I think some idiots tried to eliminate the Minute Man holding the musket on the Massechusetts state quarter.

I know I'm not in the known, but I have been known to be in the know, and am sure that I know the secret and have known it for years! ;-)

OK, this for all you 'gun nuts'!

I'm trying to find some of the recently posted articles about the attempted publishing of CCW holders in OH. There may have been another state where this was being tried too. For some reason I'm not having any luck using the search function. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no knowing without being known to be in the know.
