Terri Schiavo Cremated Amid Family Feud

Saturday, April 02, 2005

TAMPA, Fla.  Terri Schiavo's body was cremated Saturday as disagreements continued between her husband and her parents, who were unable to have their own independent expert observe her autopsy.

The cremation was carried out according to a court order issued Tuesday establishing that Michael Schiavo () had the right to make such decisions, said his lawyer, George Felos. He said plans for burying her ashes in Pennsylvania, where she grew up, had not yet been completed.

Terri Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, had wanted to bury their daughter in Pinellas County so they could visit her grave.

Terri Schiavo, 41, died Thursday after the removal of the feeding tube that had kept her alive since 1990, when she suffered brain damage that court-appointed doctors determined had placed her in a persistent vegetative state (). Her parents had fought in court to keep her alive, disputing the doctors' opinions and saying there was hope of improvement.

Well, we could at least be honest and remove the line "establish justice" from the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States.

Her medical records bare out that it is likely she had an eating disorder. It fits what we know... the electrolyte problems, potassium problem, massive weight loss, bruising, heart problem... What do you have to say she *didn't* have an eating disorder?

What medical records "bare" out an eating disorder? The reason for her collapse remains speculative.

Even if she had bulemia, it doesn't explain her collapse the night of having a major argument with her husband...who she was threatening to leave....who never gave her CPR after she collapsed even tho' he was a nursing student..who while her brain was dying, called her father instead of 911.....yada yada yada

Her low potassium on collapse is documented, but her extremely HIGH GLUCOSE level suggests other possibilities.

Mikie's suspected predilection for playing nurse with Terri's helpless body, leaving syringes and insulin vials in nursing home rooms, and leading to nurses having to boost Terri's plunging glucose level after his visits - has been attested... At the time of her collapse, Who knew.

Even MS's pro-euthanasia doctors said that she never had a heart attack...and then, there are all those nasty unexplained traumatic bone fractures in her spine, neck and legs....that her family never knew about until 2002.

Hoping for justice for Terri, but doubting it will come in this world.

Yes but before anyone knew that, the conspiracy was that MS was going to have her cremated immediately so no autopsy could be done.

The coroner has already been very very useful to the local powers. Search his name and see what I mean. In other cases of what were initially believed to be murders, Dr. Thogmartin stepped in and gave professional assistance that freed the suspects.

"It seems there's only dreadful news coming out of Florida lately. Natural disasters and gawd-awful people."

True and true. The whole 2000 election fiasco seems like a harbinger of what would be coming from Florida.

DR. WALKER'S BONE SCAN DEPOSITION-----11/21/2003

hallmarkchannel.com

Now, Dr. Walker....

Q The report goes on to say, "The
10 presumption is that the other multiple areas of
11 abnormal activity also relate to previous trauma."

12 A That's what it says.

13 Q And, again, that's based on the fact that
14 Dr. Carnahan is a rehab physician, that you were
15 asked to evaluate for trauma?

16 A And the pattern of activity is fairly
17 typical of multiple traumatic injuries of relatively
18 recent origin.

19 Q I realize you can't assign a cause to
20 these injuries that you picked up in this report.
21 But typically in your experience, what would be the
22 causes of this pattern of abnormality?

23 A In somebody her age, an auto accident is
24 by far the most typical cause.

25 Q Assume that she was not in an auto
P- 29
1 accident but that she had suffered an anoxic or
2 hypoxic encephalopathy type of injury from a cardiac
3 arrest and had been bedridden for a year at this

4 point. What might account for these abnormalities?
5 A In my knowledge, that type of injury.
6 would not account for this pattern of abnormalities.

You're right....not sure how I got the idea we wouldn't see the autopsy. Wonder how complete autopsy was and if anything will be learned from it other than she died from lack of food and water.

silverleaf is right, newsjunkman,

Bulemia dont give you multiple broken bones like you've 'been in a car accident'.
Attempted murder would, though, don't you think?

"heart problem... What do you have to say she *didn't* have an eating disorder?"

Hmmmmmm. You mean the heart problem that hybernated for 15 years, and even got her through 13 days of dehydration and starvation? Not very logical now, is it?

While we are at it perhaps the right to life part of the 1st Amendment should be revised in light of what we see regarding what is defined as "Life" and what are defined as "Heroic" measures to sustain life. Food and water heroic measures?

What a joke and a very bad one at that.

"The Perfect Crime, The Perfect Murder, is now complete."

But Michael does not get off scott free. He is known internationally as a cockroach. I beleive his passport is now stamped "International Cockroach." You never see just one cockroach either, there are always a bunch of them scampering around together.

By "impartial observer" do you mean the parent's "hired gun"? *rolls eyes*

Cyril Wecht is not a hired gun. He is one of the nation's foremost forensic specialists. He has stated that when asked to observe an autopsy, the request is usually granted as a professional courtesy. The Pinellas denial appears petty, arrogant, defensive, or even obstructive of answering some of the outstanding questions about this case

It doesn't have to take a long time especially in a high profile situation.

yeah, I guess Mikey and Felos have friends in high places.
