Detectives found no markings on the bodies and no signs of forced entry into the hotel room. The door was locked from the inside.
"There was no evidence of any trauma. They weren't shot, cut or stabbed," Harrison said.
There were no signs of apparent foul play or suicide.
"If they committed suicide, there was no indication of how they did it," Harrison said. "There was no evidence there of anything they could have used to do it. This is a case for the Medical Examiner."

This is like some crime mystery novel, with the reader having to solve it before the author reveals the answer.
Anyway, it seems to be very strange.

My money's on suicide pact by drug overdose. Reading the article it sounds like they had some stuff to be depressed about. And the opportunity to get all sorts of drugs. Sad.

Just very sad, and we should pray for them. Looking at their arrest records, I'd say their lives were not exactly going anyplace fast, and it's possible they just gave out. Perhaps one died of a drug overdose and the other simply died with her, as twins often do?
In any case, prayers for them.

Both women were released from the Polk County Jail on Feb. 7. Aww, isn't that sweet? Twins who did everything together. |

More and more sources require that their articles must be excerpted. More and more sources you may not post at all.

What's your complaint? I posted an excerpt with a link as a courtesy to the originating newspaper. It's not hard to use the link.

I remember doing some research on another topic and found a report about simultaneous deaths in nine twins as children. It does happen.

My complaint is that clicking through too often requires me to register. And if I need to come back to see this story for research purposes a few months or years later, the link is no good because the source has moved or eliminated it.
Posting it here prevents that. You can and should provide the link as a courtesy.

Without reading the article, this sounds like the beginning of the riddle that ends with "the bodies are the two goldfish that jumped out of the bowl".

You mean nine "sets" of twins, don't you? Otherwise we're missing a tenth twin. ;-)

And if I need to come back to see this story for research purposes a few months or years later, the link is no good because the source has moved or eliminated it. Posting it here prevents that. You can and should provide the link as a courtesy. Well, I would never post part of a story from a source that required registration, or anything like it. That would be rude to you. It also bugs me, too.
Regarding your second point, I think it best to consider material on the web to be transitory in nature. Generally, if I feel something is worth refering to later, I save it in its original format, as well as the link itself.
In the case of this particular story, I figure that by the time the link becomes invalid, it will have fallen off the charts as far as anyone here reading it.
