IDIOCY IN NORTH CAROLINA [excerpt from Nealz Neuz]
Nealz Neuz ^ | Friday, April 15, 2005 | Neal Boortz

Some folks in North Carolina are pushing the idea of offering in-state tuition for illegal aliens in North Carolina's colleges and universities. North Carolina is now number two in the rate of increase for illegal immigration. Make this idiotic idea a law and soon North Carolina will be vying for number one. Remember, you get more of the behavior you reward, and less of the behavior your punish. How could you consider in-state tuition for illegal aliens anything but a reward for illegal behavior?

This is an excerpt of Neal's news for today.

And, since today is April 15th, tax day, and since Neal and Rep. John Linder are about to release a book on the Fair Tax, Neal's column is particularly interesting today.

In 2003 WA legislators gave illegals resident tuition over the objections of many residents. In 2004 and 2005 teachers, administrators, colleges, universities, WEA & NEA are lobbying (and succeeding) to get more money because of the overcrowding. The overcrowding issue didn't begin until after the illegals rec'd resident tuition. Hope NC doesn't fall into that trap. Besides, illegal mothers already receive FREE health care while many residents (including myself & family) don't have any.

Many legislatures are removing their names from the legislation claiming they "didn't know" what the bill was or what it contained.

This reminds me of the old commercial 'This is your brain on drugs'. Instead substitute pigs knuckles, collards and grits for drugs.

There is no need to sneak anything into the budget as there are more than enough votes to override a Romney veto at any time it is needed.

Illelgals not only get free health care, most of them don't have to pay for housing (employer provided), don't pay taxes as they work under the table, can go to any welfare agency and get food stamps, don't have any auto ins.,etc. Meanwhile, most honest citizens of NC are scraping by, spending most of their cash on ins and house payments and driving clunkers, while the illegals live high on the hog, drive nice new vehicles and send most of the money they make back to Mexico. Now they want to give them free tuition? BS

It amounts to the equivalent of an "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT" (deliberate and purposeful law breaker) ringing my doorbell, then telling me to get the hell out of my house so he can sleep in my bedroom, feast upon the food in my refrigerator, shower and shave in my bathroom, watch my TV, listen to my stereo, and call anyone in the world on my cell phone --- while I huddle up under the tree in my back yard !!!

Our Federal Government blatantly REFUSES to enforce the existing laws . . . and BOTH parties are equally to blame for this absurd failure to follow and enforce the law !!!

Why? WHY??? WHYYYYYYY ????

I've seen this whole movie before -- in California. First it was the tuition for illegals. Then, kerblam! K-12 education falls into the tank. So, colleges start up extra "remedial" courses at the community college level. kerblam WHILE simultaneously labelling all children under the age of 18 -- something "wrong" so the state can raid the Federal coffers under the guise of "special ed" or "psychologic counseling" or "research".

The only thing missing in this picture is "TEACHERS UNIONS" in NC. But, I've no doubts the dems are a-pushin' for it.

First, the Dems under Clinton move productive manufacturing to the most "favored" trade status location of China. Robbing folks of jobs in NC.. then.. why... I GET IT!

They are hoping for an Ahnold to run against Easley! ;<

Are NC Legislators really this stupid and blind? They have no idea of what happened to CA?

It's a rhetorical question.

They'll need a 2/3 majority to get a constitutional amendment referendum for a teachers' union in NC. (I think.)

I think you are right. I've been studying the signs. I'm tellin' ya, TR. I'm seeing all the same "symptoms" brewing from NC Dems which took CA into THE major economic nosedive... Somethin's up. If NC is even thinking of giving "tuition" breaks to illegals.. Like I said. It was the beginning of the end (so to speak) in CA. And the Dems have got to know this. I can almost see where they are headed, it's right on the periphery of my vision.

The one way, I can see at this point, they can get around the "union" "stuff"; is to force newer medical plans down everyone's throats. Which is, ultimately, I think where they are headed.

Really does blow my mind, considering that NC is such a "medical education state" how expensive medical insurance is in NC. I think it is more expensive than in CA. Oops. Right. One of the ways CA Dems furthered their "union mills" by proxy? Was to invoke "medical research" based on race boxes. That way, they could cover all sorts of "non-insureds" through the guise of "research". Which morphed into "educational research" which morphed into other branches, which dug down into the core of "EDUCATION" in the state of CA. It's killing the state of CA.

"Many legislatures are removing their names from the legislation claiming they "didn't know" what the bill was or what it contained."

That has got to be a first for idiots running the show in Raleigh! I know quite a few who have spent years BLINDLY voting on things and then saying, "I dudn't know what it was!"
