RIGHT-WINGER BLASTS O'REILLY - Michael Savage blasts Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh

RIGHT-WINGER BLASTS O'REILLY

RABID radio host Michael Savage is whining that he has been banned from the Fox News Channel after he dissed Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity.

The controversial conservative — who was fired by MSNBC in 2003 after referring to a caller to his show as "a sodomite" who should "get AIDS and die" — recently burned more bridges by calling O'Reilly a "Leper-Con who poses as a conservative" and Hannity "another Republican bootlicker who began as a Rush [Limbaugh] understudy" on his "Savage Nation" radio show.

Savage claims that he's been bumped off four scheduled appearances on Fox News Channel in the wake of his caustic comments.

"These two are now acting the way the mainstream media has been acting for decades, thinking they are the gatekeepers of who shall be heard in the conservative world," Savage sputtered in a statement.

"Both are jealous of my audience and are trying to silence me because they do not want the competition."

Savage boasted that the supposed "ban" has not affected sales of his new book, "Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder," which debuts at No. 6 on the New York Times best-seller list next week.

The gay-bashing broadcaster isn't the only publicity hound taking aim at O'Reilly, the undisputed king of cable news.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue, famed for firing off several press releases a day to media outlets, is ticked that O'Reilly once described him as a "witch-hunter" and Pope John Paul II as an "autocrat."

"My members are a little bit fed up with him," Donohue claims. "I guess he feels like if he is to the left of me, he'll appear more fair and balanced. We're on the same side philosophically on most issues. But I feel like, when someone crosses the line from criticism

Savage's greatest ally is the four second delay on radio. The man is certifiable, and someday he will say something in public (i.e. not on the radio) that will cause even his most die-hard affiliates to drop him like a hot potato. I wish he had a studio cam so we could see the foam dripping from his mouth as he goes one of his patent-pending rants.

"Careful, you might hurt Sean's feelings. He might go off on FR again today!"

Sean's "feelings" have nothing to do with it, as Jim Robinson makes very clear here:

Keep up the good work Sean! (Hannity) 02/17/2005 4:15:24 PM EST by Jim Robinson:

"Keep up the good work Sean!

If you're taking flak, you're over the target!

Bombs away!"

Can you figure out what the implications of Jim's comments mean for those who feel the need to bash Hannity? Hahaha

I have never listened to him, I just pointed out that in the article he isn't quoted as "blasting" Rush, in fact Rush's name was added, erroneously in my view, to the original title. Now that I know that, in the past, he has indeed spoken poorly of the big guy, my initial impressions of Savage are negative, so it goes. The conservative movement owes alot to Rush, who, in my opinion, speaks passionately from his heart.

Savage strikes me as a suicidal manic depressive. I can't bear listening to 98% mindless rants to get 2% interesting comments.

Bottom line both Savage, Congress and Sunday morning talk shows are all the same with 98% rant with 2% action.

The lack of action is making me a suicidal manic depressive.

lol, I hate to say it, but this does seem to fit Savage.

I listen some. I like a little, but I think he is way to full of himself and it's annoying.

His audience is increasing faster than anybody else on radio so he can go after the likes of Hannity, who can't debate himself out of a paper sack, or the Leper-con who is as weak on issues as any liberal, or even Rush, who he does hold in high esteem notwithstanding his cheerleading for GWB except for the criminal alien issue.

His book has sold at a minimum, 145,000 copies on the first day of sales and a second production reprint is ordered. Savage has followers and listeners.

You and others can minimalize him but it is as if you are whistling past the graveyard. He is right on the issues of importance, borders, language, and culture, that is, unless you are less than an American nationalist. If you aren't that, then you are the enemy within. You are correct, he is does embarrass the conservative cause because he exposes the phonies (John Sununu, my senator, soft on the "nuclear" option, would like to continue the stalemate) and the phony policies that conservatives claim and he promotes the true American and causes like Tom Tancredo and others who espouse American values and tradition.

"OTOH a huge number of people can't hear him anymore so he's lost a major opportunity to persuade people to his point of view."

I can't hear him anymore living near Chicago. Other than his show on MSNBC I never listened to him before. Now that he is not on xm I am back in the same boat. I loved it when a liberal called in with some insane point of view and he just let them have it.

I agree. I can hardly stand to listen to him (and I don't anymore), but I like his last book. It's a winner!

Savage is for the retards that don't understand the complex drama of pro wrestling.

A showman, a huckster for the ignorant, no wonder the rest of the industry treats him (rightly), like the POS he is.

He smacked down the godless conservatives who called the show

How cute, Michael Weiner now knows who loves god and who doesn't?

Its schtick, its a sideshow, he would say anything for ratings, as do 95% of radio guys. Don't buy any of it, don't make any opinions based on what they say, they are just in it for ratings and dough, not any deep convictions.

With respect to small talk at the outset of a call, the Dean of talk radio, the man who invented it and the seven second delay, Gerry Williams of Philadelphia and Boston, did the same thing. He had no time or interest in the "person" of the caller, just the caller's comments, ideas, and entertainment value. He was on air nearly 50 years in total until his death last year.

No offense to anyone but Hannity, Savage, or you name um, is not worth the time when, like me, you listen to Rushbo every day. That is all one needs. The only other I would listen to is Mr. Newt but he doesn't have a show.

Huh? every day it's Hush bimbo this, and Lush Limppaw that. He's been going off on Rush for weeks. It's like he thinks theres a club and he's not getting invited to join the reindeer games. Not that he'd join if he was invited, mind you. I can't imagine Savage is much fun to be around unless you like to do all the listening, none of the talking, and laugh at all his jokes, funny or not.

Seriously, I feel sorry for the guy, embarrassed for him, a lot of the time. He takes a lot of days off. I think he drinks a lot. He's always talking about drinking.

I have a hunch you will be embarrassed enough at being one of Weiner's dupes to want to change your screen name before long. LOL

Savage had completely lost his effing mind in the past month. Its nothing but bitching and complaing and smearing other radio show hosts. Its bad, awful radio, and its killing his book sales. It makes him look small.

Mind you, I am a regualr listener and love Savage when he does a good show.
