RIGHT-WINGER BLASTS O'REILLY - Michael Savage blasts Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh

RIGHT-WINGER BLASTS O'REILLY

RABID radio host Michael Savage is whining that he has been banned from the Fox News Channel after he dissed Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity.

The controversial conservative — who was fired by MSNBC in 2003 after referring to a caller to his show as "a sodomite" who should "get AIDS and die" — recently burned more bridges by calling O'Reilly a "Leper-Con who poses as a conservative" and Hannity "another Republican bootlicker who began as a Rush [Limbaugh] understudy" on his "Savage Nation" radio show.

Savage claims that he's been bumped off four scheduled appearances on Fox News Channel in the wake of his caustic comments.

"These two are now acting the way the mainstream media has been acting for decades, thinking they are the gatekeepers of who shall be heard in the conservative world," Savage sputtered in a statement.

"Both are jealous of my audience and are trying to silence me because they do not want the competition."

Savage boasted that the supposed "ban" has not affected sales of his new book, "Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder," which debuts at No. 6 on the New York Times best-seller list next week.

The gay-bashing broadcaster isn't the only publicity hound taking aim at O'Reilly, the undisputed king of cable news.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue, famed for firing off several press releases a day to media outlets, is ticked that O'Reilly once described him as a "witch-hunter" and Pope John Paul II as an "autocrat."

"My members are a little bit fed up with him," Donohue claims. "I guess he feels like if he is to the left of me, he'll appear more fair and balanced. We're on the same side philosophically on most issues. But I feel like, when someone crosses the line from criticism

His real name is Michael Wiener

He should change his name to Lou Zerr. It fits.

I listen to Savage as a change of pace, a bit of unpredictability....his downside?

Think he 'disses callers when he doesn't need to. Appears to get torqued off when a caller simply starts off "Hi Dr Savage, how are you" or "how's it going...."

Its a simple greeting, and Savage will never answer...claims "I don't know you", etc.....

Strange way to treat someone before he knows their position...if they person turns out to be a liberal dork, then let him have it.

Almost makes me think he hates what he is doing...not a good draw for a larger audience.

"I know nothing of Todd Schnitt, but I've heard enough of Glenn Beck to know he's the real deal. He was fighting for Terri long before any of the others had even heard her name, and that includes Rush, Dr. Savage, Hannity, and the rest."

Sean said you wouldn't believe it.

...by calling O'Reilly a "Leper-Con who poses as a conservative

Interesting, because that's how I view Savage. For some reason, I get the feeling that his views are all schtick.

I don't necessarily believe anything that Hannity says.

Clear Channel has placed Michael Savage right after Rush and Sean's radio broadcast here in Houston for some reason?

It's not because CC likes to lose money.

If Savage is referring to a local talk show host, it just tells me he's not cutting it. There are alot of local hosts that I've heard that are more than capable of filling the time that Savage wastes with his meandering idiocy. Savage can't even hold a single thought for more than 10 seconds. I've heard local hosts that have gone on tirades for over 30 minutes and they were compelling as hell.

"Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder," which debuts at No. 6 on the New York Times best-seller list next week.

that is remarkable given his book it is not advertised anywhere and it is very true Savage is censored by FoxNews in favor of idiot sycophant Hanraty. O'Reilly is too pathetic to even comment about.

LOL!!!

You get it now, Bill. Falafel-man is a complete phony. If the hillary bandwagon gets going, expect him to silence his criticism of her to curry favor. FRAUD

How can you bear to listen to that overpaid fratboy regurgitating cliff-notes Conservatism?

Hannity would wet his pants if he had to face Michael Savage.

Ha! Hannity wets his pants facing George Mitchell! He is the worst debater on "our side" that I have ever seen.

Savage strikes me as a suicidal manic depressive.

I think he actually acknowledged being manic depressive. He said he likes being depressed - it helps his work.

If there is one good thing about Savage - he is original and he does not push "the party line". He is not afraid to criticize anybody. You cannot say that about Rush or Sean. Bill is just a loud sef-promoter.

For me - he is the most entertaining.

I think I read here on FR that Savage took himself off satellite radio because they have no restrictions on what they'll allow their people to say or do on radio--a complaint mainly aimed at Stern whom Savage despises.

I guess some people will figure he's looking for censorship and some folks will figure he wants some level of standards.

I guess you could say he is a man of convictions who honors his own standards even to his own detriment. OTOH a huge number of people can't hear him anymore so he's lost a major opportunity to persuade people to his point of view.

He claimed he would be around long after Rush is gone, that Rush is boring.

Do you disagree? Rush is reduced to reading (other people's) Op-Ed pieces on the air and talking about visiting the set of "24", where "everyone is a big fan of mine". He is so washed up and laughable. Savage is the future of talk radio. Rush is the past. A great legend to be sure, but his time has come and gone.
