Jane Fonda claims she only agreed to star in her latest movie because she was desperate for cash.
The Oscar winning actress, who took a 15 year break from acting, says the money drew her to the role with Jennifer Lopez in 'Monster in Law.'
She said: 'Lets put the cards on table. I needed money. I do some charity work in Georgia where i live. I'm 67 and I'm not going to be around much longer.'
'I wanted to be sure the work I do is endowed. So half of my salary went to endow the work I do with the young and poor families.'
The former sex sympbol added in an interview with Britain's Night and Day magazine: 'I didn't miss acting at all. But about a year or so ago, I realized I'm a very different person to the one I was 15 years ago.'
'I was curious to see whether making a movie would bring me some joy, which it hadn't towards the end of my career.'

Although she's been absent from the stage and screen, I suspect a lot of what she's been doing during that time was acting.
I'll give her one thing....she's a pretty good actress or used to be.

You know ... I have to give the lady some credit. She's a crackpot, but she does some meaningful work charity-wise. At least she wants to see the charity endowed before she leaves this earth.
Then we have the rest of the Hollywood crowd who just deposit their checks and think nothing of charity.

Funny how she turns towards capitalism when she needs the money instead of communism, the love of her life. What`s the matter Jane, I thought communism works? Oh that`s right, it works but you choose just to not live under it right now. Maybe you Danny Glover and Chevy Chase can start a group called "The ultimate hypocrites club" and show us all from a demonstation just how "communism works".
