Woman convicted of rape
In a landmark case a 23-year-old woman has been convicted by a Bergen court for the rape of a 31-year-old man.
The woman was sentenced to nine months in prison and ordered to pay NOK 40,000 (USD 6,385) to the man.
The incident occurred on Jan. 4 last year in a Bergen apartment. The man testified that he fell asleep on a sofa and woke up to find the woman performing oral sex on him.
The woman eventually admitted sexual contact but claimed that it was voluntary and that the man was willing and smiled. The case has attracted attention and is the first time a Norwegian woman has been charged with raping a man.
I hate it when that happens.
Billy Jeff Klintoon said oral isn't sex therefore there could be no rape. She was railroaded.
Your thread is here.
Bullcrap. The body can respond to stimulation involuntarily.
SD
Or viagra and rogaine, What you get is Don King.
What kind of wussie boy girlie man would report this event to the authorities in the first place?
Whatever happened to a firm but polite: "Madame, if you do not cease this unseemly behavior immediately I shall be forced to deal with you quite harshly!"?
It does with me. If I'm responding, I'm consenting.
Because you can't rape the willing.
Excellent point. A woman's body responding to stimulation during forced rape has never been accepted as evidence of "consent."
I knew a girl who claimed she raped a gay guy.
Considering that she broke his nose, and cracked his jaw and beat him pretty badly, I didn't want details.
And if your wondering, she was one fat ugly looking thing.
When this was first posted (when the woman was just charged, not yet found guilty), there was speculation he pressed charges because his wife or girlfriend had found out something had happened, and he wanted to cover his rear, alleging himself a victim.
This guy will never again be able to:
A) Play in a live poker game;
B) Join an organized sports league;
C) Begin any conversation with the phrase "Did you see the (blank) on her?"
"You can't rape a man. "
Norway thinks you are wrong. So do I.
Like his wife/girlfriend would believe him anyway.
The reason we're all beating our heads (no pun intended) over this one is because its missing the usual "he said no" and "she continued/restrained him" etc.
I doubt a male would be convicted of rape in this case either since its missing the "they said no" aspect. Of course this is all predicated on whether he was sober, or willing to give consent in the first place.
So, she abused his pet. What's this got to do with rape?
What ever happened to "Don't Ask - Don't Tell"?
The concept of reimbursing the victim is as old as the Vikings. When a man had committed a crime, such as a murder, back in Viking days, he was exiled, and had to give all of his possessions to the family of the slain.
If he's too drunk to say "no thanks," I'm guessing he's too drunk to rise to the occasion anyway.
