FReepers want to watch the Correspondents' Dinner aired on CSPAN last night. CSPAN's website is showing it replaying on CSPAN-3. Many people don't get that channel. If anyone hears of it being shown again on one of their other channels, please post an announcement thread.
Thank you.
(I'd like to watch it again :~ ))
maybe this will help
If you go to cspan.com, you can watch live feeds of all three channels.
Oh. Thank you.

cspan3 is currently showing the dinner from 1999, not the one last night.
I don't get it. If it's supposed to be the "White House Correspondent's Dinner", how come there are so many people who show up who are not "White House Correspondents"? CSPAN showed Mary Tyler Moore, who said she had been coming to these things for years!!! And Richard Gere, Al Franken, Bill Maher, Jane Fonda? There were probably hundreds more "Hollywood" types, but thank God, I really don't know who they are. What do any of these people have to do with being White House Correspondents? And since they hate the President, why on earth would they even want to be there, and who invited them anyway?
The news people that CSPAN showed that I was able to recognize were Greta Van Susteren, Steve Doocy, Chris Wallace, Norah O'Donnell and Andrea Mitchell.

Lots of questions, Joann. I can imagine why some of the people mentioned might fit in with the theme of this dinner, but not all. I believe they are guests of reporters, politicians, and the White House.
I don't really have answers (just guesses), but someone else may have answers.
.
It's the same as a Bush Press Conference, how come so many who show up are not White House Correspondents, like David Gregory for instance, but DNC hitmen

All Cspan live feeds knock out my PC even though nothing else does. You can see Laura's performance on a link on Lucianne.
Does anyone remember their not showing any Clinton performance at the correspondants' dinner? Yet for Bush, they show it on their 'radio' station which is received as far as I know only in the DC area. As far as I can tell, CSPAN has become wholely owned by the DNC. They show an hour of one of them and then two minutes of a conservative. Both sides of the politally correct phone lines scream DNC anti-Bush lines; Washington Journal is no longer watchable and hasn't been for the last several years. I've asked my cable company to take it off my system and stop sponsoring it. I see no difference between it and NPR.
