Sad to say, even a cursory review of this record reveals the fact that the Republican Party in Washington, D.C., has become little more than a carbon copy of the Democratic Party.

Phillips writes, "Sadly, the GOP's elected and appointed officials conform themselves almost without exception to that which Mr. Bush espouses, including:

If the GOP doesn't get it's act together fast they will loose [sic] voters to the Libertarians.

Already happening. I bailed on those Big Government goons after the post-94 cave-in.

I will vote for those with real principles, not just election ambitions, and think it will take real serious problems to broom these bastards.

So I'm waiting for that.

After 40 years of giving them time, money and bleeding in the trenches if they can't fight for the Constitution I can't/won't fight for them.

Until you actually do stop donating to and voting for them, they don't give a damn what you think and can take you for granted.

So, have you stopped giving them money and votes yet?

Voter by voter, they'll feel the heat once they join the Whigs in influence.

Truer words were never spoken. When you look at guys like Specter, McCain, Hatch, Santorum, to name a few. It's obvious they are NOT Conservative!

Unfortuately, we are going to have to have power shift to the democrats to get the attention of the GOP.

It doesn't have to come to that. Constitution and Libertarian Party members could use the GOP to their advantage, if they were wise.

How many people here realize just how mortally wounded the Democrat Party is? The party of the jackass is dying and aborting itself like there is no tomorrow. And rightist third parties can deliver the death blow once and for all if they use the GOP, then split off.

America is a two-party system. The only question is which two parties will there be?

How many people here realize just how mortally wounded the Democrat Party is? The party... is dying and aborting itself like there is no tomorrow.

I am one of the people here who does not "realize just how mortally wounded the Democratic Party is." Their over all agendas are are not only accepted by most people, but even being furthered by the Republican Party. The traditional center line in the country between authoritarianism and freedom has moved toward more authoritarianism, of both left and right varieties. As I see it conservative and liberal visions of freedom are now lost in the bureaucratic and legalistic dust. I admit I may be wrong here, I have often missed the truth staring me in the face. So please enlighten.

...Constitution and Libertarian Party members could use the GOP...

How?

Keep in mind the Libertarian Party is not a conservative or rightwing party. It just has a conservative and rightwing agenda. Don't be fooled. I know, I'm a Libertarian.
