Did you know that once upon a time, (1950's-early 60's)there was a ferry boat that went out across to Coronado Island? It departed from San Diego, I believe. It was so long ago! One of my uncles and his wife lived out on Coronado Island, and we would go and see them every so often.
I loved that ferry-boat ride! We would drive onto that ferry-boat, and get out of the car, and go to the side, and watch what went by! The old ferry-boat doesn't go out there anymore. There is a long bridge that lies across the way. It wouldn't be the same now, sadly!

I remember the large ferry boats.
With a large population and the military bases on Coronado
especially North Island NAS they had to go the bridge
route.
There are smaller double decker boats that go over also.
I go over on them often.

Hmmmm? Last time I checked - ferry boats were still running back and forth to Coronado. The new dock leads people to a spiffy group of restaurants and shops - really pretty area.

The Elephant does it for us perfectly. But thanks anyway!

Thanks for not letting us go a day without our dose of sanity! LOL
Yes, those two, Pooty and Dubya are having a rare ol' time with the car, bless their hearts! (I'll bet that little car got a thorough going-over by the Secret Service and with no complaint from the Russians -- unlike the Belgians who were pathetically insulted by our leader's guardians' carefulness)

Hello, Wolfstar!
It was nice to wake up to the dose!
Hope you had a great weekend.

Beautiful photos from Holland. I watched it live on FNC a very moving speech it choked me up I then turned over Euro News who kept the cameras there a bit longer to see GWB greet a lot of the vets etc. What a contrast to the French pomp and ceremony that came over to me as all aimed at making Chirac look important

I suspect the car is a subliminal message to GWB as it comes from the days of Soviet domination of Eastern Europe he has covered it up by the fact that of course it known that Bush loves to muck around in a pickup truck on his own land.
That is my take anyway.

Very often they have things such as this that can be viewed over the net for a few days after the event. It is worth doing a search on the Cspan Website.

The President gave yet another touching, poignant speech at Margraten . . . The President is always at his best when speaking to and thanking members of our military!
I did record the speech . . . if you would like a copy just let me know (also let me know whether you would prefer the VHS or DVD format)!

Hi, Betaille!
Welcome to the DOSE!
I noticed you're tagline, You are a HP fan too?
A co-worker (And fellow Conservative) turned me on to HP. Now I can't for book #6 to come out in July. I preordered it.

Rows and rows of crosses! Quick call the ACLU! Alert the MSM! Where's the deeply saddened Democrats!......Being sarcastic of course.
It truly is a very touching sight. We owe an immeasurable debt to those families involved.

It does? I didn't know that! I'm sure glad to read that! It seems someone told me that they had a bridge going out there now. I guess I took it to mean that the old ferry was gone. But as you say, it's not! I'll have to take a trip out there some day, and go on the ferry!
