LESLIE EATON OF THE NEW YORK TIMES, WELCOME TO FREE REPUBLIC
dfu | 5-11-05 | Doug from Upland

Posted on 05/11/2005 7:54:37 PM PDT by doug from upland

Leslie, pursuant to our very brief conversation, I will look for you if I can make it to court tomorrow. I hope that Peter was helpful. That is what I hope we can be here.

As you probably know, this place is not very friendly to the New York Times. And the Times probably does not like us too much. But I would like to see you be the journalist who wins the Pulitzer for doing the stories that take down Hillary Rodham Clinton. Even if you are a fan of hers, it really would be a great career boost. I will help in any way I can.

Please check out this story --- SMOKING GUN INFO ABOUT THE CONCERT

And this one --- SMOKING GUN DEMAND LETTER

Check out the documents on www.HillCAP.org

Regarding the concert, Hillary demanded that Gary Smith produce it. She then asked Peter Paul to get him to lower the fee of $850,000 by $50,000. Check the document in my link. The campaign only reported $100,000.

I'm sure you are aware of the hard money problem Hillary had in the battle with Rick Lazio. She had signed a soft money agreement. She needed to underreport the gala fundraiser or it would have taken a huge amount of hard money away from her.

There is no way that Hillary didn't know. On July 12, 2001, Judicial Watch announced a July 16 press conference at the National Press club. They then sent a courier with a demand letter to Hillary's office. Paul laid it all out and demanded that she report honestly. That was two weeks before the filing.

Well, Leslie, you have a chance to be the star reporter in this story. What do you say?

NOTE TO FREEPERS: Please behave on this thread. Take insults elsewhere. I really want us to be of help. If she wins a Pulitzer and we get rid of Hillary, we both win.

I have no respect at all for the New York Times, but if they actually told the truth about Hillary Clinton, it would go a very long way to convince me that the paper is something other than a mouthpiece for the DNC.

Doug, I'm sure that if Leslie found the goods on Hillary, she'd like to go with the story. But would her editors let her? After all, the end of Hillary's candidacy would split the party, and the Times would never let itself be that instrument.

Welcome, Leslie Eaton! I would love to see the Grey Lady take a serious look at Senator Clinton.

Is this for real? Will the NYT actually give this story any real coverage? I hope they will, but it seems like a stretch.

Doug, do you really think the New York Times will allow a print story that hurts Hillary?

I respect your intentions in helping one of their reporters, but there are editors in the way.

If the NY Times isn't an agenda newspaper, then I need to re-evaluate a lot of things.

She is reporting from Los Angeles. I hope we can help her with the research. Listening to David Kendall go blah blah blah blah blah doesn't cut it. He should be duct taped.

One other thought, doesn't the Pulitzer committee only award journalists for bringing down politicians if they have an "R" after their name?

I am always good---

I would suggest Ms. Eaton start with the judge, who was appointed by Clinton, and already has told the jury that Hillary is innocent and Peter Paul is rotten.

So much for a "fair" trial, huh, DFU?

When has the Times printed a story WITHOUT a slant to the left??? I don't think if there was a video tape with hitlary confessing the Times would print the transcript.

I agree. The NEW YORK TIMES bringing down Hillary? This does not sound correct and certainly does not feel right. What is the New York Times really up too?

I dunno. Sharks, lawyers, and journalists... when the blood in the water is sweet enough, they have no loyalties. The play is the thing.
