Yes, Manhattan.

We had no reaction and no police or security. They tried to
ignore us.

We had a few vets who stopped to support us. I don't know if any of the people present were vets.

We had two photographers and one local news station, although I'm not certain what they did. Yes, I believe several stations were called.

I'm not sure about pictures. Perhaps you will see some in the media, but sadly we didn't have a camera.

I'll look for it on the front page of the New York Times.

Thank you for doing this. I suspect the Newsweak folks are waiting for the next hammer to drop and well they should.

The left has compiled up the "Bush lied, people died" list (which is culled at their own disgretion). We need a "Liberals Lied, People Died" list.

Nick Berg was murdered because of hoaxed "abuse" photos that circulated throughout the Eastern world including some internet porn photos depicting "soldiers" "raping" "Iraqi" "prisoners" and some leftist staged photos of a British soldier urinating on a "prisoner". Such outrageous exagerations of the abuse at Abu Ghrab led to an equally outrageous response.

There was a lefty who wrote figuratively that the US was "raping" Afghanistan and Iraq and it resulted in a translation in Pakistan saying that Americans were raping people in that region. The resulting riots killed a number of people and injured many more.

This Newsweek article is responsible for the deaths of 15 and many more injuries.

Heck, I'll even include the 2 officers who were murdered by Sgt. Akbar (the media is quite willing to blame their deaths on Bush and not a fifth column element of Islamofascists).

How about the people who died from the DC sniper duo who were shielded from capture when the word went out that it was some white guys in a white van? The roadblocks stopped the pair several times. Those deaths are the result of some people who had an agenda.

You're right; let's bombard Newsweek with emails!!!! Call for them to do an interview with Al Jazeera and explain exactly how they made this "mistake" of theirs. Here's an excerpt from the email I just sent:

I call upon your Editor in Chief to personally contact Al Jazeera and do an interview with them, explaining in detail how and why this reporting mistake was made, and apologizing for your magazine's lack of zeal in its search for truth. Afghanis will probably not believe the U.S. government when it denies (however correctly) that no such incident happened. However, if YOUR MAGAZINE makes it crystal-clear directly to the Afghan people that the report was a grievous mistake, the situation may still be salvaged.

No bullhorn. But you're right, the Doctor did have one in his trunk. You need five days' notice in NYC to use sound. Raoul's voice is such that a person could think there is a bullhorn nearby, though.

Sorry, no photos this time, but maybe the Polaris guy's photos will show up somewhere. Next time we'll have more notice and will be better prepared.

I knew that you would do a report, but I wanted to put up a few up of my impressions once I got back. Thanks once again.

I think it's amazing that the news came out that Newsweek had retracted the entire story 20 minutes after we showed up. They must have really been feeling it!
