I gotta give him credit. He names a time and place. In one month, we will know.

In the same period of time, and on the same level of assurance, we should also have "free energy engines" and working flying saucers.

"When pressed on this point he will sometimes claim that he has a doctorate in Old Testament from a now-defunct Bible college in Texas."

And I've got a Doctorate in theology from the Universal Life Church. It's hanging right on my office wall with my minister's license. Cost me $35.

“Two years at Mt. Sinai and then the Jewish people went to Kadesh Barnea,” he says, transposing the Jewish people’s first entry into Israel via the Jericho region and the re-entry to those areas in 1967

Each time Israel crosses the Jordan
Generations are spared any boredom
Joshua and Dayan
Are we part of your plan?
In frustration the nations implored'em.

“1967 was a repetition of Kadesh Barnea,” Jones says. “If Israel had come in and taken this place, the Arabs would have fled like they did in 1948. But no, because of the evil report of Golda Meir and Motta Gur and Moshe Dayan, who said ‘We can not do that – world opinion will be against us’ – so Israel was sentenced to 38 years more – and June the 7th, Jerusalem Day, will be the 38th year.

? My Hebrew calendars have Iyar 28/Yom Yerushalayim on Monday June 6th, DisembARKation Day.

What Does the "D" in D-Day Mean?

This is the most frequently asked question by visitors to The National D-Day Museum. Many people think they know the answer: designated day, decision day, doomsday, or even death day.

SNIP

The French maintain the D means "disembarkation," still others say "debarkation," and the more poetic insist D-Day is short for "day of decision." When someone wrote to General Eisenhower in 1964 asking for an explanation, his executive assistant Brigadier General Robert Schultz answered: "General Eisenhower asked me to respond to your letter. Be advised that any amphibious operation has a 'departed date'; therefore the shortened term 'D-Day' is used." (p.146)

Hmmm.

I've often wondered in the Ark of the Covenant is where is "always" have been, in "Debir":

Easton's Dictionary:

Debir

oracle town; sanctuary. (1.) One of the eleven cities to the west of Hebron, in the highlands of Judah (Josh. 15:49; Judg. 1:11-15). It was originally one of the towns of the Anakim (Josh. 15:15), and was also called Kirjath-sepher (q.v.) and Kirjath-sannah (49). Caleb, who had conquered and taken possession of the town and district of Hebron (Josh. 14:6-15), offered the hand of his daughter to any one who would successfully lead a party against Debir. Othniel, his younger brother (Judg. 1:13; 3:9), achieved the conquest, and gained Achsah as his wife. She was not satisfied with the portion her father gave her, and as she was proceeding toward her new home, she "lighted from off her ass" and said to him, "Give me a blessing [i.e., a dowry]: for thou hast given me a south land" (Josh. 15:19, A.V.); or, as in the Revised Version, "Thou hast set me in the land of the south", i.e., in the Negeb, outside the rich valley of Hebron, in the dry and barren land. "Give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs."

Debir has been identified with the modern Edh-Dhaheriyeh, i.e., "the well on the ridge", to the south of Hebron.

"I'm sure that, according to the Word of God, that Israel will never again be uprooted...."

There will be wars and rumors of wars and in the last days the enemies of Israel will turn on her once again...she will most likely be alone at that time. Yet even than, God will not abandon her. On that day, when all seems lost, Christ will return......

Thanks, Fractal Trader, for the ping. Pinging Berosus also, for his views.
Jones says that in fact, the Ark was brought through a secret passage beneath the mount – but that that same natural tunnel continues 18 miles into the Judean Desert to the Valley of Achur.
That's some cave. For some time now, I've had an appreciation of VJones' views on the Copper Scroll. Also, he (correctly, IMV) locates the Cities of the Plain in the submerged north basin of the Dead Sea. Those interested in his other claims of discovery can click here.

He often claims to be the inspiration for Raiders of the Lost Ark, but he isn't. And Raiders was written by George Lucas and Phil Kaufman, not Randolph Fillmore.

George Lucas has 'borrowed' more stuff for his movies than almost anyone else. For example the lightsaber idea is basically a ripoff of the biblical 'flaming sword'.
