America dead? Morally and spiritually comatose, if not dead. Having spent most of my years since 1990 in China, the Russian Pacific Maritime Region and the Philippines, I can tell you what Chinese (in general), Russians (in general) and Filipinos (in general) think about America.

I have noticed for years that Newsweek, and other periodicals too, publish different editions in Asia, and they usually don't tell Americans what they are saying overseas. But when I saw the American edition cover, my fist thought was that Asians think that that is Exactly ALL America is today: the likes FD Swank, Dicaprio and Foxx. Asians think that America is EXACTLY what they see from the Hollywood entertainment industry.

While we import auto jacks and generators from China, we export Hollywood, soap operas, Rock-n-Roll, filthy-mouthed Rap music, sleazy fashion, vulgarity, etc., etc. to China.

One Chinese leader once said, "When we opened the door to the west, we forgot to install a screen door!"

I just got off the phone with a friend who used to travel in Asia and Europe (before 9/11).

He had told us years ago that when Follywood actors started to lose their star power in America, they went to Euro Trash Land and Asia to condemn America to sell their old movies over there. The same rule worked with singers.

This friend confirmed that Newsweak and Slime have trashing America for decades in their foriegn versions. He feels that they have been doing this to make up for lost readership/subscribers in America.

Who made the mistake of giving the Koran to detainees. Were we stupid enough to think that the detainees would be grateful!

First rule, don't give them anything that can be turned against you.
