It's very disturbing how many people around here want to do away with MvM. You don't throw away the baby with the bathwater!

Agreed. The essential distinction that's lost on most people is that of the court striking down federal laws vs striking down state laws. It's in striking down state laws that they've mostly abused their power. But they've mostly underused their power when it comes to striking down acts of Congress (which is what was at issue in MvM), especially those that are justified under the insanely broad reading of the commerce clause.
