Yes, the generations that went before, those that were with us, and those that are following are truly the greatest. They are so young, but also so mature. I work with a Captain who was a company commander in Iraq for a year. Wounded once, he continued in command even though he was offered to be replaced. He never brags or boasts, simply goes about his everyday work.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all service members who have committed themselves to the defense of our country. And to the families of those that gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, please accept my heartfelt sympathy and gratefulness.
I salute my granddad (Army, WWII) my brother (Marine, Persian Gulf WarI) and my husband (Marine, 11 years service).

Who lost the use of a leg jumping into France. He was hit by machine gun fire and laid in a ditch for several days, listening as Nazis passed by - waiting for allied troops to find him.
