ROTC should be allowed on all college campuses (of sufficient size to support it). The purpose of college is to educate a person so that they can find gainful employment, and ROTC certainly meets this need. Banning ROTC can only be politically motivated. Its a pity that the federal government has to warn colleges about loss of federal funding to make them perform their educational duties.

Stout was the 'best' college in the WI state school system and the last to cave into the Marxists..

Traditionally it had been the place for those kids who wanted to teach shop type courses and home ec.

It was a place where bright kids could go and learn to actually 'do' things instead of becoming instruments of social change..

It is still a great place to learn industrial arts and science and to learn to create manufacturing jobs to set up and run factories..

To me it has always represented a more 'pure' learning place that successfully resisted the humanistic liberal arts..more than any other state college or university..

The heart and soul of the kinds of people who made up the small central WI town I grew up in and went into the military to defend..

If ROTC belongs anywhere...it is at UW Stout

imo

It was a 'history professor' at UW Stout who burned the American flag in class and got away with it..a few years ago.

Of Course!!! (albeit bettet late than never)

Though most of what I wanted to mention has already been well said, I would like to add that if it weren't for us and the state media, I doubt the chancellor would back down.
