American jailers at the Guantanamo prison base for foreign terrorism suspects splashed a Koran with urine, kicked and stepped on the Islamic holy book and soaked it in water, the US Military said on Friday.
US Southern Command, responsible for the prision at the US Naval base at Guananamo bay, Cuba, described for the first time five cases of 'mishandling' of the Koran by US personnel confirmed by a newly completed military inquiry, said officials in a statement.

I didn't read it that way in the LA Times. Splashing of urine can be inadvertant as all guys know. Urinating on the Koran directly, flushing it down the toilet, tearing out pages, and using it as a pillow were incidents attributed directly to some of the prisoners.

I am really getting p*ssed now---it is one thing for these stupid RINOS to mess with the judicial nominees, but when they keep doing things that put our troops and other Americans in danger because of their political "power-hungry" actions, then I think it is time for a citizen revolt!
This guy is a scumbag! I am so damn sick and tired of having to always defend every single action that our military or our President makes regarding this WOT. ZERO positive results come of it, ZERO!!! No matter what is the end result is, it doesn't matter. Let's just say that after countless hour, days, weeks, months etc. of investigating this issue, let's say that EVERY SINGLE CHARGE comes back with nothing, not one single instance?? Guess what, doesn't matter.... the military will still be guilty of pissing on the quran. The waters were already muddied enough.
My solution, just ignore the presses questions. ABSOLUTELY IGNORE THEM!!! "but, but, but, we'll look guilty..." Who the hell cares?? F**k Em'!!!! This is bull**it!! The Republicans need to get some balls, and unfortunately the areas and issues in which they need to get them are beginning to pile up pretty damn high. Start making us proud once again to admit proudly that we're Republicans and not have to slightly cover our mouths while saying it to our shoulders..... We'll be waiting....

So, the Koran was "collateral damage".
There have been several incidentes of Shiites Mosques in Iraq being bombed by the terrorists. I can see where the Liberal Media does not worry too much about the dead Shiites. They seldom worry about the people attacked by terrorism. However, there must certainly have been Korans in those mosques that were blasted to pieces. Why isn't the Liberal media bending over backwards to describe the "desecration of Korans" in Iraq?

It turns out that the urine splashing was accidental to begin with.
