So the Newsweek report was -- for all intents and purposes -- accurate?

Only accurate in the sense that there were bodily functions involved. No mention of toilets in the AP or Reuters reports...

Big deal.....my dog pees on the newspaper. Some things are just meant to be used for those purposes.....and the ignoble unholy koran is one of them.

Ahem.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/fnews/1416104/posts

Seventy-four percent of those surveyed in Gallup's 2005 confidence poll said they have "a great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in the military - more than in a full range of other government, religious, economic, medical, business and news organizations........ The Gallup organization noted that public trust in television news and newspapers reached an all-time low this year, with 28 percent of responders expressing high confidence in them.

FOX just reported there were five cases of "book abuse" by guards at GITMO... PLUS there were FIFTEEN cases committed by GITMO detainees.

Personally, I couldn't care less about this "report". If pissing on a book irks the guys that are trying to kill our guys, I'm all for it.

described for the first time five cases of 'mishandling' of the Koran by US personnel

The press are LUNGING to get at this story.

FIVE cases of MISHANDLING! My GOD!

BTW, how many people did Saddam kill? Oh, right, that's old news. Kicking a book, now THAT is NEWS!

I guess dropping a Koran which we allow our prisoners to have puts us right up there equal with Al Qaeda, eh?

I really, really, really wish the press would get a clue.

Gitmo prisoners = suspected terrorists = Deserving of Sympathy, Amnesty/ACLU/etc. protection

Koran dropped = just as bad as being flushed down toilet

Dropping a book on five occassions = more outrage in press than OUR MILITARY PEOPLE BEING KILLED BY MUSLIMS!

This is a great example of the moral relativism being taught in our colleges, I guess.

Oh good, more dead Jihadis.
Only, when after the next terror attack, outraged Americans
riot and express their anger, and the world reviles us
for our unhumanity, the world can kiss my butt.
