I'm thinking of "Don't worry, be happy" and I REALLY wish I weren't.

Did you ever wonder what happened to some of those one-hit wonders like Vanilla Ice, Tommy Tutone and Flock of Seagulls? No.

Not to nitpick, but Loverboy and Wang Chung were not one-hit wonders. Not defending them, mind you, just that they each had more than one hitWang Chung had a number of hits, and they had a number of songs that made it into a bunch of successful movies. In fact they did the soundtrack to the movie "To Live and Die in LA," which IMHO is a pretty awesome movie.

This is PRECISELY what I'm talking about.
Why must people behave in such a revolting manner?! There is nothing, absolutely nothing alluring, graceful or dignifying about that. It is rather offensive.
Dave and Van Halen created memorable hits, the persona worked then, but no more. It's old, as he is-older. Music doesn't have to end, but the "youthful" image does.

To Live and Die in L.A. looks awesome on DVD. I recall seeing it in the theater and loving how it didn't do all the "buddy cop movie" cliches. There is a moment toward the end--you know what I mean if you've seen it--which is a complete surprise--the audience was really shocked.
The best cop movie until Heat.

Oh, great, now it's stuck in my head...
To: Darkwolf377
Never saw "To Live and Die in LA" except the bits in the Wang Chung video. But, "Heat" is a great film. Wildly underrated.

Not an 80s musical group, but you get my drift.

In the city I live in, when that song was out in the 80's they had to disconnect the phone number of the person who had that number and give him another number.
People would ring up and say...
"Hello, is Jenny there ?"
To: martin_fierro; cyborg
I just love that. Pinging the little lady.
