Many ‘guys in green’ think peace movement is right
The Columbia, Missouri Daily Tribune ^ | Monday, June 6, 2005 | David Sautner

Posted on 06/06/2005 12:58:04 PM PDT by rface

Dear Editor, the Tribune:

I was a peace demonstrator, or "war protester," from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 29 at the Salute to Veterans air show. At around 1 p.m., an Army Ranger in his fatigues and black beret quietly approached me and told me that not only did he support our efforts and our demonstration but that he thought that the anti-demonstrators - that is, those people who were shredding the leaflets - were "dead wrong."

He also said "there were guys in green in Iraq" who agreed with the peace movement and supported us. He said that "we are not defending any freedoms in this war; we are only destroying a country for no reason - just because they said something that the president didn’t like." He then thanked me and all of the peace demonstrators, and I gave him a hearty thanks.

Just thought you should know that while there were many civilians at the air show who violently opposed us, there are also "guys in green" who think that what we in the peace movement are doing is right on the money.

The Easter Bunny is on the side of the protesters also. But Santa is firmly in our court.

This is why "hearsay" is an objection in court.

you are right. The Peace Movement is only active when their Anti-American agenda can be displayed also.

At that point he should have put his bong down...real slow like. And stopped it with the shrooms (the purple unicorn the Ranger rode in on would have vanished as well).

And then bathe. And then look for a job.

"Guys in green" - interesting, since desert battle dress is khaki.

What this dumba$$ fails to realize is that Rangers do not wear black berets...they wear tan ones...geessh. If you are going to lie at least get your story straight.

Very good point. These protestors are anti-American and we should continue to point that out.

He also said "there were guys in green in Iraq"

If this were true wouldn't he state guys in DC? The military has replaced Kevin Bacon in the three degrees to Kevin Bacon game. Every peace protester knows or knows someone who is related to someone in the military. When you ask for specifics they stumble.
