John Dallas Lockhart loved the beach and loved to party. But police say his quest for fun came at the expense of the most innocent of victims, including a 4-month old infant that Lockhart is accused of raping.

The U.S. Marshals biggest concern was that Lockhart was the type of person who could blend in anywhere. But when he was profiled on America's Most Wanted on, June 4, 2005, tips came pouring in. Several were from the Venice Beach area in California. Akron, Ohio Police and the U.S. Marshals thought the information they received looked promising.

The sightings of Lockhart were confirmed when local law enforcement in California received a phone call from one of Lockhart's best friends in his new life. The tipster told U.S. Marshals that a friend going by the name "Dallas Lock" looked like John Lockhart and was living in Venice Beach. Marshals immediately contacted the tipster and he was able to give them photos of the man he knew as a friend. U.S. Marshals compared the photos of Dallas Lock and John Lockhart and confirmed they were the same person.

U.S. Marshals and local law enforcement worked though the night conducting surveillance on the house where Dallas Lock was living with his girlfriend. On Monday morning, June 6, 2005 police confirmed that Lockhart was home and moved in. They took him into custody without incident.

Police say Lockhart had been living in Venice Beach for about a year and was working for a sex website. He had new life for himself, but police say he didn't change his party lifestyle. Lockhart is now behind bars and police expect him to be extradited back to Ohio.

John Dallas Lockhart, on the U.S. Marshalls' 15 most wanted list for more than a year, has been captured! I searched here but didn't see it posted yet. I haven't heard this on the radio or the tv yet.

Not long ago a gay refrocked Priest named Geoghan who had molested boys was killed in jail but otherwise I never hear of such things happening.
Here in MA we have two sick child molester / homosexuals locked up for the murder of 10 year old Jeffrey Curley. Both men attempted to have gay sex with the poor little boy, he fought back and they smothered him with a gas soaked rag. Then they raped and killed him.
Both men are serving ' life '. Howie Carr recently mentioned one of these gay child molesters is having a fine time in jail./ He even has a regular boyfriend. Maybe they'll get married.
At the time of the sentencing of these monsters the local radio waves were filled ' They'll die in Prison! ' or ' they'll be daily raped! '. No such thing has happened.
I don't think such things happen that often at all. If they did - the recidivist rate would be 0% because all molesters would be killed in prison.

As I understand it, he was placed in a cell with a guy who'd been molested and/or raped by a priest. Trick of fate. But it also happened to everybody's favorite weirdo, Jeffery Dahmer, not long after he was imprisoned.

Whether it happens inside or not, if I were the father of this innocent baby, I'd be patiently waiting for this SOB to be released.

John Dallas Lockhart, a 36-year-old attorney from Akron, was arrested by Akron Police detectives and United States Deputy Marshals in Venice Beach, California.

Lockhart has been on the run since August of 2004 days before prosecutors filed a series of sex crimes charges against him, including the rape of a 4-month-old baby girl. What prosecutors call photo evidence of the crimes was recovered from a computer Lockhart shared with a business associate.

United States Marshal Peter J. Elliott tells Channel 3 News "Lockhart had been living in Venice Beach for some time under the assumed name of Dallas Locke. He was working as a webmaster for an internet company. He was shocked and surprised to see US Marshals and Akron detectives at his door."

Elliott says Lockhart offered no resistance when confronted at the door of his Club Avenue home.
