Gee, I wonder why the son of the great "Deal Maker" did so badly in the special election? Lots of money, great organization, famous name. Hmmm, just never can tell nowadays.

Thanks Dad. And right before Fathers Day too.

DeWine came in FOURTH place?! If that doesn't send a harsh message to Papa RINO, I don't know what will. Superb work, Ohio Republicans!

Imagine. Primary voters, conservative activists, moderates strangely absent, voting for anybody but someone named DeWine.
I guess maybe the Great Emancipation of Moderates Proclamation didn't well in this Ohio district.
Huh. Almost enough to make someone consider primary voters may not be as forgiving as general election voters and that just *maybe* Republicans shouldn't tick them off.

Any Ohio Freepers have insight? I thought Schmidt was pretty liberal. Did the voters send DeWhine a message at the expense of his son?

NOT ONE PENNY!!!
I'm angry enough to pledge money to real conservatives who will run against these RINO's and replace them. How about $100.00 a head?
I encourage everyone to attack!

Gee, it couldn't have anything do with his Dad's giving our party the shaft, now would it? There's a personal lesson to Mike DeWine about the costs of double-crossing conservatives. Why, we're just getting started...

I had the great misfortune to have to work for Ford Motor Company at their Loraine Assembly Plant west of Cleveland in the 80's and early 90's. My impression of Ohio, admittedly, is based on observations I made there of the extreme left wing red neck dynamic at work. The 2004 election with Mr. Blackwell doing the honorable thing, and the election results then amazed and heartened me.
Can Ohio remain in the Republican camp long term, or is the dynamic changing? Its awful close to Michigan, and I'm worried that some of my state's left wing bias will eventually rub off.
