Very simple. There should be no law. Common sense should be all the impetus needed to wear a seat belt.

Let's stop making laws curtailing rights of Americans and start protecting and defending Americans.

Darwin was right in his assertion of survival of the fittest. It is stupid not to wear seatbelts, therefore, dumb people die in auto accidents due to their ignorant mistake. Rather than ticketing people for not wearing seatbelts, allow nature to follow its natural course and 100% of Americans will wear seatbelts in due time with no law necessary.

I didn't know this. So they collect the fees from the tickets, collect federal monies from writing the tickets....Do they benefit from the insurance companies in any form from the lovely surcharges?

The Government allocates a lot of "grant" money to police departments to harass the citizens. These programs are "stat" driven. Accept the grant money, and show us your stats. The Government has too much tax money. It's disgusting.

Well, if I caused an accident with Williams and he were not wearing a seat belt, and if he were injured so that he could not write his column for a time, I could be held libel for destroying a national treasure.

What if they imposed fines on illegal aliens?

Wow...what a difference that would make.

Hey, it beats fighting actual crime.

Especially with millions of dope smokers out there that need to be arrested.

Click it or Ticket fascism because socialism is costing us money.

Am I the only one that sees this as one problem compounding another and more of the same being offered as a solution? What country is this supposed to be again?

Probably do a touchdown dance if they happen to catch a dope smoker not wearing his seatbelt. ;)

If there is a Hi-power 9mm in his glove box, they give the cop a Carribean cruise for hitting the trifecta.

Another symptom of a government with too much time and money on its hands.
